Seniors, Moms n Tots, and anyone interested Have you ever planted garlic? A gardening expert will be visiting us in the garden on Wednesday, October 7 at 11:00 to plant garlic into one of the raised beds. If you are interested in joining us, simply reply to Linda at the Salvation Army 519-534-0353. Spaces are limited. Then meet us in the garden behind the Salvation Army Church at 11:00am. It’s easy to distance in the garden and if the day is sunny it will be a fun activity. Kids welcome, but no supervision provided for them. Hope to see some of you out

After our two ticket exchange dates, we are pleased to announce a second donation of $1,100 to the Bruce Peninsula Community Food Bank bringing our total donati...on to $3,300 so far. Thank you to the local potters who graciously donated bowls: Tim Smith, Megan Jones, Gayle Fairchild, Robert Nantais, Kate McLaren, Jim Hong Louie, Ruth Swanson, Bill Mason, Kevin Wain, and Amanda Millar. Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling is performing their Annual Food Drive over the next two weeks. Residents wanting to donate to the Food Drive are asked to plac...e canned food items in untied plastic bags next to their blue box for collection. As you may know, Bruce Area Recycling's Annual Food Drive begins next week. We appreciate your kind donations greatly!! You may want to consider donating some CANNED FOOD ITEMS in an untied, plastic bag beside your blue bin during regular pick-up hours. We hope to be very intentional this year regarding what is needed, so we would like to share with you what we have been blessed abundantly with recently. We have lots of pasta, rice, canned tuna and tomato soup. ITEMS THAT WE... ARE IN NEED OF AT THIS TIME: - canned spaghetti sauce - canned soup (other than tomato) - "Chunky" brand and other hearty soups - salmon - canned ham - fruit salad - canned fruit We thank you in advance for your contribution!
