Fellow Wildcats. I am sure this message isn't coming as a surprise, but we are going to have to cancel the planned Widdifield Celebration Weekend scheduled for May 15/16, 2020. With all the uncertainty in our world at this time, we just can't confirm that an event will take place. Some time was taken before we made this announcement, as we were waiting to see when the school may be open again to students and staff. With yesterday's announcement, regarding return for stude...nts not happening until May 4th, it just won't be possible for us to ensure that a celebration weekend, as planned, can take place. If there is any possibility for our school community it provide an alternate time available to walk the halls of Widdifield one more time, we will update this page. As you can imagine, the current teaching, custodial, and administrative staff, will be focussed on the current students finishing their year while dealing with all that is going on around them. Dealing with the Covid pandemic has been difficult for everyone, and it is very unfortunate that this has happened at the same time we are needing to say goodbye to our school. Hold on to the memories that Widdifield has always brought you. Take time to connect with former students and staff and friends through zoom or similar forum. Once staff is allowed back in the school, there will be a virtual tour of Widdifield created, so you can walk the halls virtually once more. Please stay healthy and safe.
