First of all, some good news! Our family member’s COVID test came back negative! Thank you all for the kind words of support this week! The bad news is that our temporary license extension expired on October 12 and we will no longer be able to offer on-site tastings in the backyard area. We continue to feel that indoor service is unsafe in our space and will therefore be transitioning back to pick up only service for the time being. That being said, there’s some more good new...s as this weekend we will be releasing two new beers and re-releasing an ongoing fan favourite! Say hello to our Raspberry Sour, Moonlight and Raspberries, to our new Malbec Dark Saison, a collab with our friends at French Door Estate Winery that has been in the works since last fall, and add in a big welcome back to our Hibiscus Sour, Flower Market! See you this Friday and Saturday, 2pm to 6pm for our new pick up only hours!

We have made the decision to close the brewery for the weekend. A member of our household has exhibited extremely mild illness symptoms, and we feel that it would inappropriate for us to open until we have a confirmed negative test result. Please rest assured that we have no reason to think that there has been any guest exposure and neither Mitchell nor Theresa have experienced any symptoms.

New beers in cans tomorrow! Our Biere Blanche and Biere Noire - the Wild Ambition interpretations of a Witbier and a Dark Witbier will be available at the brewery starting this weekend and at liquor stores in the next few weeks!

Hey everyone, just wanted to make sure you were all aware that as a retail space masks are now mandatory in our bottle shop under the new health authority orders this week. If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask you will not be allowed entry into the building. If this is a problem for you, please place your order via our website and make a note in the comment field - we can bring your beer directly to your vehicle and check ID out there if needed.

Bottling up some barrel-aged goodies today - this beer has been in oak since we brewed it with @boundarybrewingcompany last December!

We talk a lot on here about our decision to use BC grown fruit, but we also pay the little extra to keep our base malt as local as possible too!

So we know we promised beer details (they are in this post, we promise!), but we also wanted to take a moment to shout out the two newest members of the brewery team! Meet 12 week old brothers, Bruxellensis and Claussenii (Brux and Claus for short). Their mom was found as a pregnant stray and we just adopted these two little rascals from the Kelowna @bcspca! They’ll be popping up in our posts from time to time as the new Wild Ambition mascots - they are named after Bret...tanomyces yeast strains we use in the brewery after all! Oh yeah, beer details... ENOUGH AND TO SPARE - RHUBARB SOUR 4.0% alc/vol For this beer we took our base golden sour recipe and added a copious amount of BC rhubarb to create something beautiful, tart, and delicate. Essentially a hybrid of rustic farmhouse ale and country wine, we hope you enjoy the fruit (vegetable?) of our labour. KELOWNER WEISSE - AUTHENTIC BERLIN-STYLE SOUR 2.8% alc/vol This bottle-conditioned ode to tradition contains a style of beer once referred to as the "Champagne of the north" in the 18th century. No boil, no kettle souring, no sugar syrups, just a petite sour fermented with a mixed culture of bacteria and yeast including strains of brettanomyces isolated from 1970s East German Berliner Weisse. With the Kelowna COVID cluster deemed stabilized, we feel comfortable reopening for outdoor tastings for this coming weekend. Please use visit our website to view our health and safety policies before you visit. We still encourage you to order through our webstore for low contact pick ups, but if you do decide to visit for a tasting, please understand and respect that we will be actively enforcing all of our additional safety measures. Oh and did we mention we are releasing two new beers? Details to follow soon!

Hi Everyone, With the current volume of COVID-19 cases connected to community spread in the Okanagan, we have decided once again to close down our public tasting space until further notice. We have no reason to believe that any of our customers or team members have been exposed, but this will help us keep it that way.... We understand that some of you intended to visit the brewery this weekend (and beyond) and this news may come as a disappointment. If this is the case, please reach out to us directly and we will see if there is any way we can still safely be part of your plans. We will also continue to have beer available for pick up and delivery through our web store. We hope you all continue to prioritize being safe, calm, and kind with one another!
