As many of you know, my pictures come with personal reflections and stories, and my blank greeting cards are no exception. Cards are $6.95 each including postage, 5 for $30 and 10 for $50. Please PM me for multiple cards or go to https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/WildartPhotography to order individual cards. Sometimes my camera becomes an extension of Spirit beyond control, and I am able to record part of the Mystery (From Natural Selection Stones card)... Day 2, North Powell Divide, Tla’amin and Klahoose Territories Beauty lies around every corner, and every step brings us closer to..cherishing every step, the difficult ones, the easy ones. We have our last views of the magically blue Daniels Lake, and the spectacular Daniels Valley. I know there is so much more to see, but I have to ask how is it possible to get any more beautiful?... with @jeremyseanwilliams . . . . #powellriverbc #alpineclimbing #mountainlandscape #mountains #alpinelake #granite #naturephotography #shelneufeld #canadianlandscape #pacificnorthwest #granitemountain #naturephotographer #landscapephotographer See more

Day 2, North Powell Divide, Tla’amin territory, Powell River headwaters, August 2020. The Mountain Goat has such deep and special meaning for me. Its super power is to navigate incredibly steep and difficult mountain terrain at great speeds. Our friend and inspiration John Clarke, who passed away in 2003, was given the name Mountain Goat by the Swxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation.... Encountering our first goats of this trip, Jeremy Williams and I had a deep connection to our old friend, who explored and climbed mountains all over the BC Coast. John travelled this amazing route back in 1984. A deep sense of knowing that we are where we need to be washes over us. Following in the footsteps of the Mountain Goat. I am guided, when I let go of my ego brain, and surrender to deeper Spirit.

On Day 2 as our legs adjusted to the heavy packs, Jeremy Williams and I encountered our first major challenge. There seemed no way up the ridge that didn't involve some difficult sketchy rock climbing. I glanced at a tiny snow cave and quickly ruled it out. After an hour of messing around, we dropped our packs and took a step back. I took another look and realized without our packs we could just squeeze through the snow cave, after hacking away some of the ice. Packs cou...ld then be passed through. Personal lesson number 1: When life gets crazy and there seems like no clear path forward, take a step back and breathe. Become a witness, taking a different perspective. The way forward will become clear, and it might even be a path that previously appeared blocked. Please check out my website at https://shelneufeld.com for prints and canvas.
