Hi Wild Child Families, Yesterday was a perfect day to finish our Fall Forest School programs at Centennial Park. Snow painting, tobogganing, bannock and story time around a warm fire! We really enjoyed 9 weeks of amazing adventures and discoveries with our Forest Friends. We will miss meeting with you every week in the forest , but we know that each one our Friends will continue taking care of themselves, others and nature as they continue to enjoy winter outdoor play! C...oot, Blue Jay, Spruce and Chickadee send you all our love #wildchildedmonton #forestschool #lovefornature See more

Hi Wild Child Families, Last Tuesday was our last fall Forest School program at Emily Murphy Park. We had so much fun playing in the snow, building a snowman , snow painting, tobogganing and making bannock while enjoying a warm fire. We also had a special guest Park Ranger Gareth! Our Forest Friends leaned so much about coyote and other animals that live in the River Valley.... We will miss each one of you, and hope that you continue to play outdoors and take care of nature. Hi Wild Child Families, Yesterday our Forest Friends had so much fun building forts. They used sticks, branches, CREATIVITY and plenty of IMAGINATION! We made bird feeders to help our bird friends during winter when food is scarce, and talked about what birds do to keep their body temperature warm in winter! Did you know that birds fluff out its feathers to trap warm air close to their body? Try fluffing your body when outside to keep you warm ... #forestschools #wildchildedmonton #fortbuilding See more

Hi Wild Child Families, So many fun things to do outside in winter !!! Don't miss out from winter fun and check our weekly activities we will share with our Wild Child community. Try making your own frozen rainbow ICE SCULPTURE! All you need is: Food coloring or paint... Balloons LOTS OF IMAGINATION Steps: 1. Put Several drops of food coloring into your balloons. 2. Find a faucet in your home and fill up the balloon with water 3. Tie them up, and place them outside in the snow to freeze. 4. Let your balloons outside overnight (or two nights) 5. Cut off the balloons and get creative building your own ice sculptures! Extra: try adding some candles around your sculptures at night and look how amazing the colors will look! Have FUN!
