You know I always try to send cool stuff, but I guess today is a downer. So we had three cats here, all from the same litter, a Grey one with green eyes Sadie, Charlie a tabie cat with copper eyes, and Lily which pure through and through Siamese We lost Sadie the smart one about 2 years ago, guessing a coyote. So not last night but the day before Charlie showed up on our deck. Broken leg, bleeding from his mouth, so we put him in our shop over night. Hoping for the best but he could hardly breath when I went in to visit him. He was a farm cat and at 1500 dollars for a chance it was like no. Loved that cat and I got to bury him.. I absolutely lost it when on the box they wrote Charlie. God speed brother find a bunch of mice. Damned.

So folks, want to encourage you to come out to the garden. We have absolutely a load of beans, potatoes that are amazing, peas and onions. The odd cucumber. By the way want to know the best way to have a cucumber? Slice them up, put them in white vinegar, put a little bit of salt on the slices and yum. The longer you leave them in the vinegar the stronger they get.

You know today am sitting here and it is raining. I have a patio door right next to my computer desk. As I look out the door there are 12 Robins that I count, may be more and I find it fascinating. You can tell the young ones, still finding there legs so to speak. Every year it is the same, they love it here. The older ones go to just the right spot outside my door which is on the north side and rarely dries out. I watched a few times them cock their head and then pluck a worm out of the ground. They are hard wired for this and I get that but think about it. You cock your head and you can hear a worm under the ground? Wow. They are incredible birds. The other thing is they have a constant battle with Gophers. Why I have no idea, don't think they are a threat.
