Chanel and Kenny’s farm is beautiful, it was a little drizzly and damp but the clouds made it feel super moody and atmospheric, perfect for what we were trying to capture ... . Where are you 2021? . . Today I made a list of all the amazing Sea to Sky venues we’ve been lucky enough to work with and all the vendors we’ve got to work alongside .... . This summer was meant to be my first full summer of Wild Havens work, but of course it didn’t turn out that way . Since we launched the business I’ve been looking after a tiny human, pregnant or looking after 2 tiny humans . Although we managed to pivot this summer and keep busy I was really looking forward to the calendar of events, weddings and festivals we had planned . I was really looking forward to getting stuck in, listening to countless podcasts, driving to all the amazing venues we get to work with, some near, some far. Pitching hundreds of tents and making thousands of beds but all of that will have to wait till next spring/summer . Do you ever get moments where you feel like a complete boss babe? . It feels awkward to blow your own horn? . On Friday the bridal tent setup that I had to do in the monsoon like rain was a challenge ... . It definitely didn’t look as beautiful as this as I mopped up the mud from the tent entrance . But the end result was gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the photos from A & S’s magical day . Somethings don’t look like you had imagined . In my mind I hadn’t imagined I’d be working in the torrential rain and squelchy mud in August . A & S definitely didn’t imagined last year, when they started planning their wedding that they’d be pivoting in the way they did, reducing numbers from 175 to 34 and enjoying a long table dinner in the meadows of her parents farm, instead of the big wedding they’d originally talked about .
