A Striking specimen of a Chaga "horn" on a relatively young birch tree!

First time harvesting Chicken of the woods, foraged in my own yard! I pan fried it in a little oil and made a stir fry with onions, celery, garden fresh yellow beans, red pepper and bok choy with a pineapppe and kiwi sauce,served over rice~what a delicious treat!!

Can be used in teas, tinctures and broths, Reishi mushrooms (Hemlock Varnish shelf-Ganoderma tsugae) have many amazing health benefits! Remember to always try a very small dose the first time taking any wild medicinals, to ensure you do not have an adverse reaction.

A bounty of Reishi (Hemlock Varnish Shelf-ganoderma tsugae) appeared right where I was planning to have a mushroom garden~Mother Nature is the best!
