Home based daycare in the Wildwood Park area now open with spots available for all ages. I am located in Section J, with a yard that offers plenty of space for play, as well as multiple playgrounds and green spaces within walking distance. There are a large variety of toys available (pretend play, dress up, puzzles, instruments, games, science, etc) and lots of books to read! My focus will be on educational and active play. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and have partic...ipated in numerous first aid competitions. I have taken the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Community Coach courses, and Skinned Knees: The Benefits of Risky Play workshop with plans to pursue further training. I can speak some french and ASL (which I am in the process of learning more of). I participated in the Girl Guides of Canada program for many years, as a girl guide then as a leader, and earned the Canada Cord and Chief Commissioner's Gold Award. I have volunteered extensively through various organizations and have lots of experience working with children and adults of all ages. The children will be offered 2 healthy snacks and a lunch each day. There will be regular outings, as well as a variety of activities at home, including crafts, theme days, and plenty of indoor/outdoor creative play. I am passionate about providing an enriching environment to allow children to grow and flourish. I am committed to putting in the hard work that it takes to help each individual child realize their full potential and am prepared to accommodate any medical conditions or disabilities in order for every child to get the most out of their time in my care.
