Hello! Me here, thought I'd introduce myself with a few candid pictures of my life because that's so much part of the creative process. Rainbow to do lists, chicks in the living room/office. Animal assistants taking notes from couch. A few snapshots of day to day that I feel so grateful for, which is thanks to all the support in being a self employed leather worker and carpenter with an obsession for animals. It means a lot to have people support a lifestyle that makes se...nse for me personally that isn't traditional. It is very healing to come to some work life balance that feeds the soul. I've often struggled with going and getting a JOB. Feeling like a square peg in a round hole. Sometimes I'm late. If the animals need more attention, their water freezes, or my dog training isn't top notch and she doesn't come when called, my timing can be shit no matter how early I wake up. Thank you for everyone who understands. Being able to take the risk and be self employed has allowed me to pursue many of my interests and somehow in a forever pursuit blend them all together in some sort of fluid career path. Nothing has been straight forward or easy, but it all comes together. No sick leave or ei, but the ability to know that as long as I can work I'll be ok. Sometimes I've worked all the time, and then learned to go to the edge but keep a loving pace to sustain energy and avoid burnout. It has been invaluable while learning to live with grief to have people support me by ordering leather goods, asking for a custom order or carpentry projects. Being able to take things as they come, trusting that things will work out has given me space to be gentle and kind to myself instead of falling into a feast or famine mentality.
