This is a test that will only involve a few Toronto-area cafés for now. Tell coffee companies that we want single-use packaging swapped out for reusables ASAP and pilot all across Canada! https://www.greenpeace.org//top-canadian-plastic-polluter/

Today's ABBREVIATION BUSTER: "DE&I" "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" or DE&I, is a phrase outlining efforts to create a more welcoming environment for people of less-privileged identities. This is working to ensure management is not all white men (or women) or implementing opportunities for young professionals of colour. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is referred to as DE&I so often that many individuals don’t know what each letter refers to, and Diversity becomes the de...fault. But they are different... Diversity includes ways people differ; the characteristics making one individual or group different from another, including such identity markers as race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and religion." Equity is fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all people while eliminating barriers preventing full participation of some groups." Inclusion is creating environments in which any individual or group feels welcomed, respected, supported, and valued to fully participate." So FYI: a little DIY DE&I is FTW, ICYMI, IMHO, TBH. TGIF!

"Governments can set the message. It is the influencers, the creative industry and communications experts that can ensure the message is transmitted in ways that all Canadians understand and accept. Corporate Canada, with its tremendous communication capabilities, has a key role to play in ensuring all 38 million Canadians are on board by the end of this week. We need to be creative and we need to be fast." https://www.theglobeandmail.com//article-in-this-fight-a/

"Italians dressed as Indigenous people were present at Grand Ducal wedding celebrations in America. Medici court artists depicted Aztec warriors, created allegories of the Americas, and represented plants and animals from the Americas!" Get the whole scandal from Katie--a summer student at the Saint John Arts Centre for two years and the daughter of SJAC Board member Kelly Patterson.

Saint Johns fiscal challenges: "Saint Johns negotiating partners have never had sufficient pressure on them to truly engage in a reform process that would put the municipality on sounder financial footing. Cannabis NB Sales Results: Shelley states it simply: Very few new businesses turn a profit in year one, said Shelley Rinehart, a professor of marketing and MBA director in the faculty of business at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John. But the expectations were very high given the uniqueness of legalizing a formerly illegal substance. That is not to say the model couldnt be tweaked.... Meanwhile, a business professor in Ontario says the NB must decide if it wants the operation to be as efficient as possible or stay true to the social policy goals laid out by the previous government.

If more Canadians are driving zero-emission vehicles, it will not only reduce pollution, it will reduce transportation costs for middle-class Canadians and for businesses, says Minister of Natural Resources Amarjeet Sohi. Starting today, residents who buy or lease a new zero-emission vehicle over the next three years are eligible for $5,000 from the government to lower the initial costs. Vehicles with a retail price of less than $45,000 with six or fewer seats are eligible ...as well as cars with seven or more seats for a maximum retail price of $55,000. These discounts can be applied to new purchases of battery electric, plug-in hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Short-range plug-in hybrid vehicles are eligible for incentives of $2,500. Buy one of each
