For folks interested in William's artwork here is a link to an Indigenous Collection being published by CAP - Canadian Art Prints. They also produce prints for Maxine Noel whom he met & painted with years ago when he lived in Cochrane, ON. William often told the family how honoured he was to have known her. We miss him every day and know how much his artwork meant to him. William put his heart & soul into each piece he created telling us the spirit of color and his works of art would live on long after he was gone. https://www.indigenouscollection.com/artist/monague-william/#

During our Dream Snare Workshop funded by Nookmis Committee this past weekend on Chimnissing we had Constable JP from the Anishinabek Police Services join us! It was his first time making a web since helping his mother with crafting as a young boy! JP decided he would make a Dream Snare to donate to Huronia Transition Homes La Maison Rosewood Shelter, a local organization that provides shelter and other services to women and children who have survived trauma and homelessness in our area! #artworkshop #dreamsnare #dreamcatcher #crafting #anishinabekpoliceservice #chimnissing #christianisland #huroniatransitionhomes #community

This stunning design was created by Terra Roy during our Paint Your Own Piece Workshop held on Chimnissing funded by Nookmis Committee! This photo was taken before completion, the final outcome had the vines of woodland flowers hanging from both horns on each skull! Terra painted her creation onto a gorgeous pair of black leather mittens with rabbit fur trim that were handmade by her Mother! #monaguenativeart #nativeart #emergingartist #workofart #artistsoninstagram #artworkshop #acrylicpainting #beausoleilfirstnation #chimnissing #nookmiscommittee #honouringourtraditions

A beautiful contrast of colours was used in this full blood moon cherry blossom scene created by Brea Roy during our Paint Your Own Piece workshop held on Chimnissing funded by Nookmis Committee! I love the technique used to create the texture of the moon! #monaguenativeart #nativeart #artworkshop #emergingartist #artistsoninstagram #acrylicpainting #technique #workofart #chimnissing #beausoleilfirstnation #nookmiscommittee #honouringourtraditions

These two pieces were done by Edna King during our Paint Your Own Piece Workshop on Chimnissing funded by Nookmis Committee! A vivid red and what looks to be streaks of light or possibly mountains behind the silhouette of Mother Bear and her cub turned out amazing! The Maple Leafs inspired piece also turned out beautifully! #monaguenativeart #artworkshop #nativeart #emergingartist #workofart #torontomapleleafs #leafsnation #mamabearandhercub #chimnissing #beausoleilfirstnation #nookmiscommittee #honouringourtraditions Edna H.
