For most woollies, the journey of coming to life starts much the same. A spark of imagination meets a tuft of wool, and through the maker’s busy hands, a fuzzy shape begins to take form. And sure enough, after countless pokes with a felting needle, a woolly creature begins to reveal themselves, along with an entirely original personality and purpose of their very own. But for some special woollies- like sweet Lily Grace- the journey of creation begins a little different...ly. In her case, sheets of brushed Merino wool were carefully cut, stitched together, and lovingly stuffed to create her bunny shape. And much like felted woollies, throughout this process, Lily Grace’s personality and purpose slowly merged. It was plain to see that this gentle rabbit was destined to be in the doting grasp of child’s small hands. Her soft and sturdy body seemed designed for snuggles, and her big eyes implored me to find a home where she might enjoy singalongs, tea parties, and nightly bed time stories. Thanks to my friend @tanyiatabouli, I happened to know of an exceptional child who just might be willing to offer this bunny all the things she dreams of- and in turn, everything I dream of too. After all, as a maker of woolly souls, there is simply nothing more joyful than finding a loving home for my little friends. And so, without further ado, I would like to introduce Lily Grace and her tiny felted friend, Lila. They are both headed off to their new homes today, but insisted on photoshoot in an effort to demonstrate how their differences are what make them special and unique. And while they might be different shapes, sizes, and constitutions, they were both made with the same, simple hope of finding love, giving love, and sharing joy through the magic of imagination. This hopeful purpose is the kindred fibre woven into each and every woolly soul I create. Sending love to all of you, Robyn See more

What I’ve come to learn most about life, said little, fuzzy Henry as he gazed thoughtfully into the distance, is that we all just want to be loved and accepted for who we are. *** Sending everyone my love.... Robyn See more

And so, on my very last day with sweet Lupine, we did what I always do with my woolly friends before they leave on their great adventure; We spent the afternoon together, drinking her favorite tea and strolling through the garden, fondly recalling days gone by and musing over what her new life might be. And when it was nearly time for her to go, I asked- as I always do- to take one last picture. A memento to cherish once she had travelled far and away beyond my garden ga...te . Of course you may take my picture, Lupine politely replied as she smoothed her woollen skirt and coiffed her loppy ears. Before I do, I said, is there a message that you would like to share with the world? Lupine gazed thoughtfully into the distance. Yes, she replied, On those horrible days, when the view outside your window is dark and you’re sure the sun has abandoned her sky completely... she paused as a shadow crossed her delicate face. Remember that she never truly leaves. She’s merely tucked behind the canopy of clouds, shining brightly, certain to appear again once the storm moves along. Just like that, the shadow lifted from Lupine’s woolly face and her joyful expression returned. I’m ready, she declared as she raised her fuzzy snout and smiled brightly at the camera. And before I knew it, she was gone. Off to see a whole new world. And I was left with a picture I would treasure always, and a hopeful message that I would save in my heart for a rainy day. See more

It’s a seldom discussed fact of life that nearly all of us- young and old alike- could use the company of a teddy bear. In fact, some might even argue that the companionship of a teddy becomes all the more important as we grow older. After all, life does have a way of becoming more complicated as the years reel by, and a quiet moment with a fuzzy friend can offer a brief reprieve from the struggles of day to day life. One good look into their innocent eyes, and you just ...might find yourself backwards in time, in a place where life was simpler and filled with magic. Some of us need a big, fluffy teddy that we can wrap our arms around at the end of a particularly long or difficult day. Some of us prefer a ragamuffin old teddy that can occupy some special spot on a chest of drawers or bedside table. And some us would best like a tiny, woolly teddy, that can fit perfectly into the palm of our hands. And so, after a week in my own life where the company of these wee, woolly bears was much needed and appreciated, I offer them up for their next great adventure, with the simple hope that they will bring their new friend the comfort and joy they have brought me. Take a look at tiny Clifford and Oliver. They are both the sweetest of bears, with grizzled coats and gentle dispositions. And while they both make for brilliant conversationalists, it’s their ability to listen that really makes for a special companion. If you feel like one of them might be suited for you, please apply to adopt him by following @williewoolly, tagging a friend, and commenting with the name of your favorite woolly bear. Their new homes will be announced tomorrow, May 12th at 5PM PST. Instagram has no affiliation with this giveaway. Sending you all love and luck, Robyn See more
