We are opening as usual today, but will ask if you are able to come in a bit later than usual please do so. That will keep the ratio of teachers to children balanced as our staff are making their way from all over HRM and beyond. If your child isn’t coming for the day please drop us an email so we know not to expect them. Thank you!

A big thank you to our HRM district 14 Councillor Lisa Blackburn for walking with our school age children and teachers to Harry R Hamilton school this morning. It was a great opportunity to share some of the struggles we have as a community around a safe walking environment!

276 families 48 staff members 2 different places 10 years!... This weekend we as a staff are celebrating our ten year anniversary of providing child care! Our original plan was to have an open house on Sunday (our actual anniversary) but Covid put the brakes on that idea. So instead, as a staff we are off to enjoy good food and each other’s company for the night tomorrow. Terri and I wish to thank each and every person who has had anything at all to do with our centre over the past 10 years. Staff past and present, our Department folks, licensing officers, our bank advisor, our milkman Dan, and each and every one of the families who have trusted us to take care of your most precious people. You all remain part of the Willow Creek family! We are only us because of all of you!!

Welcome to our second week in the Covid era! Thank you to our staff and families who made last week such a fantastic experience, I knew before we opened that we got this, but even Monday morning I could tell everyone was working as a team to keep us all safe! Please keep up the great work, and make sure you don’t get complacent when filling out our symptom checklist for your child. It’s easy to just get into the habit of signing our form mindlessly, but it’s important to really reflect on what you are signing. It is key to our continued success that we start each day knowing everyone is healthy!
