CoVid-19 Update This spring of 2020 is one none of us has experienced and one we will never forget. How something smaller than the smallest droplet of mist can affect our world, our society and our health and wellbeing so profoundly is troubling Seeing how our community responded to this pandemic was amazing. On May 4, we will be reintroducing urgent and some basic dental treatment back into our clinic as we slowly and methodologically re open. Our goal is to maintain t...he highest level of patient care and infection control while at the same time keeping all of us healthy. Appointment times will be a bit longer, waiting times may be longer, some non urgent care will need to be postponed, our rooms will look different and we will definitely be dressed up differently in all of our gear! COVID 19 UPDATE Effective March 23, 2020, the Government of Saskatchewan has mandated that elective dental services be suspended in the province of Saskatchewan in an effort to help combat the spread of Covid 19. The provision of emergency and urgent dental treatment will continue for the time being in an effort to reduce the burden to our Physician and Medical colleagues who should not have to deal with tooth issues when their skills are required elsewhere. We have created ...a Willows Dental Pandemic Response Team which consists of our most senior members of our staff. Strict adherence to Infection Control Protocols, Patient Screening Assessments and Protocol, Chief Medical Officer's Protocol and Directives, and our Dental Licencing Body directives will be followed. We kindly ask that if you have an urgent dental need, or a dental emergency, that you call our office at 306 244 2266. By phone, our receptionist will ask you some screening questions before setting up an appointment. If you are not well, or feeling sick, or if you require elective dental treatment, it is required that you postpone treatment. If your screening assessment is negative, at your appointment, you will have a few more screening questions asked, along with having your temperature taken to rule out having a fever. Again, if the assessment is negative, we will help you with your emergency or urgent need. We also kindly ask that any dental offices or medical/emergency clinics that are referring patients to our offices for emergency treatment please direct the patients to call our office first before coming to see us.
