Many thanks to all the wonderful RVTs out there for all that you do. I just want to share my appreciation to three in particular Michelle, Randi and Kaitlin and RVTs here at Windrush. Whether it’s on the phone answering client questions, taking loving care of their furry, scaly or feathered patients or any of the other 100 tasks they tackle during their day, they truly epitomize what it takes to be an RVT. Michelle knows every inch of this clinic, what’s going on at all ti...mes and I fully believe can recite every patient’s entire medical history from memory. Randi is the unsung hero of our wellness plans and appointment reminder system. She works tirelessly to help keep your pet healthy by making sure every patient is kept up to date on their vaccines, blood work, exams and parasite control. Those email reminders she writes are tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Kaitlin, who’s the newest member to the Windrush team, has a natural calmness and reassuring nature that seems to speak to even the most nervous of patients that walk through the door. She can often be found giving our hospitalized patients some additional TLC by handing feeding those who need encouragement to eat or providing some additional company to those pets who don’t like to be left alone. So, THANK YOU ladies, I know 2020 hasn’t been an easy year but I’m honoured, privileged and forever grateful to be able to work with you day in and day out. - Dr. Sarah Murdoch See more

COVID MAY 2020 Protocols As of yesterday,Veterinary medicine has had restrictions lifted by the Ontario Government. We are now available for routine healthcare while focusing on social distancing and keeping the public and staff safe. We are relieved to be able to care for your pets but understand that social distancing and public safety will be important to prevent a resurgence of cases in Ontario. We ask for your patience at this time as we work through scheduling all of ou...r previously postponed appointments as well as new. As always our main concern is keeping your pets safe and healthy. Our governing body continues to direct us to maintain closed clinic practices. This means we will continue to ask owners to call the clinic when they arrive for an appointment and a staff member will come out to retrieve your pet, all payments will be taken over the phone and all food/medication pickups will be done via curbside service. We thank you for your patience and kindness in advance as we work through these challenging time together. The staff at Windrush

Patience is a quality that we all will need as the restrictions in veterinary medicine have created a backlog in our routine care. Please, do not worry. We have guidelines in place to keep all pets safe that are going to be delayed in receiving their routine annual care this year. We will ensure that pets start their flea/tick/heartworm prevention on time even if there is a delay in annual wellness exams and heartworm/tick tests. Every file is reviewed, every pet is triaged... and we will see everyone in a timely manner when the government gives us the go ahead. BUT....patience will be needed. The process of curb-side, low contact veterinary care is slow. There will be delays and like in human medicine we have to triage our cases every single day based on urgency and risk. Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who continue to show us support in these challenging times.

Dear Clients, There's no doubt that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is creating challenges for all of us both personally and professionally. First and foremost, we hope that you, your family and your pets are remaining safe and healthy. Windrush Veterinary Services is open and will remain open during the COVID-19 virus concerns. However; we do ask that if you or any family members are feeling ill or are in self-isolation/quarantine that you do not enter the clinic. Our staff wil...l be following the same instructions. We are a small group of staff and need to stay protected in order to remain open for our patients and clients. In saying that the health of our patients is our first concern. We ask that you contact the clinic directly to discuss any concerns you may have so that we can arrange the best possible plan for your pets needs. This may include having family or friends bring your pets in if you are unable to or intaking patients from your vehicle instead of having you enter the clinic. We have increased our disinfection protocols and will update you if anything changes here at the clinic. For now we will be asking clients to be sanitizing or hand washing before and after every appointment as we continue to utilize our rigorous surface cleaning practices within our client area. The staff at Windrush
