Windsor Animal Allies

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, WAA has been on a hiatus since September 2019. Our President is currently away attending medical school, and our Vice President is also preparing for medical school. For this reason, we are no longer able to continue to hold regular events and get-togethers like before. We started the organization in the summer of 2016 and have held more than 100 events in the community of Windsor and on campus at the University of Windsor. We are so t...hankful for everyone’s support and involvement, and we are glad to have been able to make a difference with you, for the animals! Other members in the community have taken note of our hard work and dedication, and have taken the wheel in our absence at the University of Windsor; for which we would like to thank them. We would also like to send them a warm welcome into the animal rights community, and wish them the best of luck in the future. Let’s not forget that we’re all one army, fighting the battle for animal rights! Windsor Animal Allies will no longer be active at the University of Windsor. We will still however, do our best to remain active in the community, and do whatever we can to contribute to this movement. We would like to thank all of our members for sticking by us, and joining us on this incredibly eye-opening journey! This comes mere days after Ontario passed legislation designed to crack down on protests outside slaughterhouses, emboldening the meat industry to declare open season on animal advocates.

BREAKING: Ontario just passed ag gag law Bill 156, which could make it illegal for whistleblowers to expose animal cruelty on farms, further concealing widespre...ad animal suffering. It also restricts the right to peacefully protest and bear witness to animal suffering outside slaughterhouses.
