A couple of notes about WW21. There is no night of fire. No show cars No pit party Social Distancing rules are in place ... Every other staging lane Masks must be worn in the staging lanes and starting line area and no hanging around. After your car has run please clear the area. Attn heads up racers. Please tag or share anyone who might be interested You will notice a few small additions to the heads up rules. These rules are pertaining to minimum ets for the classes. We had hoped to have a fairly casual laid back race program this year. What has happened is we have left the door open for people randomly buying tech cards to get crew passes. Just to make sure we dont get some late model pickup showing up for quick 8 qualifying ( and getting paid) ... we had to impose some common sense guidelines. As well upon arrival we would appreciate if you find me and let me have a look at your entry. Ok we are less than 2 weeks away. With the govt guidlines and procedures we need to account for everyone who enters the facility. This may result in slower entry times, in order to help speed things up we have set up preregistration online. To go along with our No Frills Windsor Weekend, we decided on a No Frills Event T-Shirt. The shirt is white with black print and is available for order online only. Shirts are being printed on demand. If you don't pre-order a shirt, they may not be available to you after the event. To be able to pick up your shirt at the event, you'll need to pre-order it by August 9, 2020.... T-shirt pickups will be done at the 5252 booth, on the Saturday of Windsor Weekend. Attn heads up racers... We would like to thank LIuna local 625 (Brad and Joe Parent) Chucks Speed Shop and The Dock and Door Company for posting up 2000 dollars to be used for the heads up classes. So heres the potential breakdown, with 8 cars per class ... Winner $ 600 Runner Up $400 Semis $200 $25 Dollars for first round losers All 3 classes have the same payout. Purse reduced with less than 8 cars Classes will run Saturday 3 qualifiers followed by eliminations. ( weather permitting) We know its not huge but its what we have to work with. We know we have some racers who this will not work for , and we appreciate thier position.. We will make the most of this year, returning to our roots a bit to when we did car things with our car friends for fun. Above all us lets try to remain respectful. Racing info....... Tech cards will go on sale online tomorrow morning at 7:00am (https://windsorweekendtickets.com/) Race entry includes car and driver ... Some notes about classes WINDSOR/ESSEX Bracket 1and 2 Several racers, over the years, have been very critical of the payouts at WW. Theyve claimed they are smaller than at other events. The reason for this is 2 fold. 1. Traditionally we have charged less for race entry than other events. 2. We have tried to start payouts earlier so more people win a little something. This year Bracket 1 entry is the same as Mod,$90 day since thats where most of these cars would fit. It will pay out on GBMs regular payout (75%). Bracket 2 will be slightly more than street entry, slightly less than Mod, $70 day and will pay out at GBMs regular payout schedule (75%). 12 second cars can run either of the Bracket classes but a 12 second car in B2 should have street tires and exhaust. We have secured some bonus money for these classes from Unifor Local 444 ($1000 for Bracket 1) Ida Sproule/Valente Realty $ 500, and Expert Auto Glass $500 for Bracket 2. This money will be spread out to benefit as many racers as possible. WINDSOR/ESSEX Trophy class We are trying to get trophy back to a beginner class, so we are returning to a street tire and muffler rule. $60 WINDSOR/ESSEX Bike Sled This class is its usual entry fee and is boosted both days with Bonus Money from Colchester Bar and Grill $500 and Wildman Racing $500. Jr Dragster This class will be open to any racer from anywhere. It will be run as 1 class, both age groups together, and has a $500 total purse each day. JR Dragster has FREE ENTRY this year! Thanks to Jason and Dana Boyd at Boyd Automotive $1000 Open Comp Open Comp will be open to any racer from anywhere. Box/No Box Combo Class Again, this class will be open to anyone. It is a guaranteed $1000 to win on Saturday, sponsored by Chucks Speed Shop. This program should give most anyone a chance to run at least 2 classes if they choose to. WINDSOR/ESSEX Heads up classes are Quick 8, 5.50 Index and 6.50 Index. 1/8 mile These classes will qualify and race on Saturday (weather permitting) this will allow them to Bracket Race on Sunday if they wish. We have had some interest in these classes, and one person has asked about payouts. Some racers have secured sponsor money for the index classes. So far we have $500 dollars from the Dock and Door Company for Quick 8. We are going to hold off posting a purse till the end of the week. With no spectator income we need to proceed carefully. We will update as things progress.

Attn Racers We are just wrapping up a few things and getting details worked out. Over the next couple days we will post classes and rules. As well we will also be posting event info etc. We will also be announcing when and where to get registered for the event etc. Racers start figuring out who your crew is as you will need to supply their names ( and pay for them) when you purchase your tech cards

Had a meeting with Paul at the Track this Weekend . Due to government guidlines and desire to do our part to protect our fans and competitors , As of now it will be competitors only at WW 21 No Spectators Each Money class competitor will be allowed 4 crew members. Details regarding classes , etc will be coming, we understand your disappointment but this is a situation we never would have seen coming. I also had the oppurtunity today to speak with the folks at Toritto paving , our title sponsor. The Chiarrappa Family is completely committed to their involvement in Windsor Weekend not only will they remain with us as our Title Sponsor for this year , but have extended their deal to 3 years. Hello Everyone it is a busy week for us here at K&H Fireworks. We are open 9am to 8pm right through to July 1st . Come and pick up your Canada Day Fireworks !!!... Windsor Weekend 21 will go on as planned. At this point it appears thst we will follow the current GBM program. No spectators and a limited number of crew per car. There will be no night of fire or show cars , We will have limits on some classes and all racers will preregister themselves and their crew. We will run the Windsor Essex heads up program. With some changes . There will be an all out quick 8 class but the : small tire" class has been changed to a 5, 50 breakout c...lass We will allso be adding a 3rd class with an index to be determined There as well be a full field of Bracket classes including bike/ sled , open comp and a open box/ no box race. Many things are fluid at this point we will update as we go We are committed to having the best event we can while complying with all regulations and keeping our guests safe.

Well things are loosening up and some things are happening. There is a rental event at the bend this weekend and there is a plan to race June 5 to 7 the guidlines are in place and will be evolving so it is too soon to speak about " how to" yet. As of now Windsor Weekend is still scheduled. Although at this time we have no idea what it will look like. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as the province opens up and we see how things go.
