The Windsor Youth Centre, a part of the Downtown Mission, helps homeless and at-risk youth with food, clothing, personal hygiene, a safe place to hang out, and much more. Many of you have been asking about the food that was collected. What an amazing effort by our community and so many volunteers! This may answer some of your questions.

Thank you to our dear friends at Glenwood United Church who are answering our call out for help with another Donation Drive on Saturday, Sept. 12th to help with... snacks for our youth going to The Windsor Youth Centre and adults or families needing toiletries in the Missions overnight Sanctuary Program or from our Dining Hall or Food Bank. A few weeks ago we held our first-ever physically distanced Charity Yard Sale! Thanks to all of your amazing support, we were able to make a sizeable food dona...tion to our friends at The Windsor Youth Centre Shop owner Jessica hunted for the best deals to stretch the money raised and she really outdid herself! (Fun Fact: Jessica is highly skilled in the arts of EXTREME COUPONING! ) Big thanks to Ottawa Street Windsor for giving us the space to pull this off during their awesome Open Streets event! And thanks to all of YOU for making this a huge success!

Not all kids have the same opportunity and we want to once again thank those of you who collected and donated school supplies for all of the children and youth that access services here at Windsor Downtown Mission - DTM Windsor Youth Centre. The smiles on the faces that received their supplies yesterday were priceless.

Id like to thank Dan McDonald from AM 800. He was kind enough to mention (big time I may add) our driveway show happening this Saturday during his show today. ... Very kind of him to do so. Im sending out an invite to him and all media to attend. A reminder that Michael Hereford and his acoustic trio will be starting the day off at 2 pm. Band ROCK of AGES starting around 3 pm.
