This year marks 100 years of the Oliver community, which was shaped by the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation, whose history stretches back 10,000 years. Happy New Year!! This is Vaseaux Lake located between Okanagan Falls and Oliver BC. This photo was taken from a multi-level gazebo made for bird watching. Vaseux Lake is also a migratory bird sanctuary which is managed by the Canadian Wildlife Service. White trumpeter swans winter here!
