Phase 2 of Covid19 Response Plan.

May 24, 2020 Dear patients, We are officially reopened May 25, 2020! Specific guidelines set by the PHO, WorkSafeBC, BCCDC and the College of Dental Surgeons of BC to keep us all safe during the Phase II reopening plan of this pandemic will guide and limit us as to who we can see and what we are able to do at the present time.... We have made significant investments in new items to upgrade our office to go above and beyond guidelines to give you the best care and you will see these changes implemented over the next little while to include: 1. Increased frequency of sanitization of all common/frequent touch surfaces 2. Prescreening questionnaires (x3) and contactless infrared thermometer for temperature taking prior to/upon entry of our officeonly Covid negative screened patients for risk factors will be seen at this time 3. Provision of hand sanitizer if you choose not to wash with soap and water (still best option) 4. Provision of disposable overgloves if you choose not to do either of above 5. Provision of Level 1 ASTM masks if you do not have your own (you can keep for reuse at other establishments where required) 6. Plexiglass barriers at the front desk reception area 7. Engineering consult done with THE principal of Rocky Point Engineering who is the same consultant who has done multiple projects with hospitals in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan 8. Updated HVAC system wrt upgraded HEPA filters 9. Honeywell TrueHepa 300 The Doctor’s Choice air purifiers 10. Surgically Clean Air Cascade air purifier for entire office 11. Source capture extraoral suction and air purifier/UVC combo devices 12. Use of hypochlorous acid (HOCL) and/or fogging for controlling aerosols 13. All staff will have appropriate enhanced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per the situation dictates (goggles/glasses/masks/faceshields/gowns/labcoats) 14. Pre-procedural hydrogen peroxide mouthrinse for ALL treatment procedures 15. Best effort use of either rubber dam and HVE or suitable alternative for aerosol reduction (Releaf, DryShield, IsoDry/Vac) Some of these changes will require your help, and we will have very specific instructions sent to you prior to your appointment. The most important of these is an initial screening questionnaire that will need to be completed before you enter. Our administrative teams will be working very hard on scheduling appointments for everyone so please be patient. This is a huge job and will take time. Thank you everyone.
