Grad photo week. I have had one of the most fun weeks ever! The girls all came for fancier than usual lashes and I had a blast doing them. It's been a different year for these grads for sure, but finally something normal for them. Can't wait to see the grad dress photos.

I would like you all to meet my newest lash helper. This is Harvey. He's a 7.5 week old Aussiedoodle and we are all madly in love. So far he's 2/2 for cuddling with clients. You've been warned.

Friday! Has anyone seen The Social Dilemma on Netflix yet? I've known for a long time about targeted ads, online manipulation and algorithms, but it's scary to see it all laid out in one place. I know there are "rules" to create followers and engagement but I don't care about them. I'm going to post what I want, when I want and how I want because honestly, I just want to do lashes. I did it!! I have nothing to say about lashes this morning. I am here simply to toot my own horn and celebrate. The kids are AT SCHOOL. We were not late, there were only a few tears while still at home, and I now get to sit in silence for 1 hour before I go to the dentist. I can't believe this day has arrived. Congrats to all of us who did it in whatever way was right for us. That was the longest spring break ever.

Friday! I hope you all survived the first 2 hours of school. No matter what decision you made for back to school I know it was difficult. Speaking of difficult, this is one of the trickiest set of lashes I've ever done. 1/2 of her lashes still had curl in them from a lift we did earlier this summer. We're both more than pleased with the outcome. Patience and hard work. Sounds like a good motto for school this year.

Happy Friday of a long weekend that I thought was a Saturday!! We kicked off our last real summer weekend at the waterslides. What are you up to? This beauty went on a lovely trip to....Winnipeg! This is a mix of 0.15 and 0.12 because that's what she likes. Notice the old hanger oners there? Those puppies are 2 months old.

Oh, September. What a complicated relationship we have. Even now September fills me with that sense of dread of going back to school, even though nowadays that means some extra freedom for this mom. This year it's even more complicated thanks to Covid. I start to miss the longer, warmer days but love being able to cozy up in a cardi. It's also my birth month. See? Complicated. So I'll just stare at some beautiful lashes while I try to catch up on all my photo editing. What about you? Yay or nay to September?
