Did you ever consider safety when deciding the colour of your car? In a study conducted by Monash University about car safety, they found that black is the colour with the highest accident rate. Vehicles with a black exterior are 12% more likely to get into car accidents than white cars, which are believed to be the safest car choice. Respondents to a recent survey conducted by Ad Hoc Research for Desjardins General Insurance Group appear somewhat torn regarding the presence of advanced safety technologies in our vehicles. The survey’s researchers found that 69% of the respondents said they trust vehicle safety technologies, but 46% think we’ve become overly reliant on them, and 79% think we need to be better educated on how they work. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of David Winter on September 22, 2020, at home in Winnipeg, surrounded by his family at the age of 85 years. David established Winter’s Auto Body in 1960. He was hard-working, focused, and very determined. Under his leadership, Winter’s became a leading shop in its industry for quality of repairs and service. David is survived by his wife Marilyn, four children, and eight grandchildren....
