Wisdom Within

Was just thinking about this - how do I return to work with my ducks in a row, to avoid the pitfalls (back pain, lack of exercise, emotional burnout) of last year? Perhaps I shouldn’t work so hard at figuring it all out. (Because if you know me, I was working pretty hard to figure it all out!). Perhaps it is unfolding as it should?

What I know for sure is that I always come out of the woods better than when I walked in.

I'm getting strong intuition about delving into the writing of my second book. Small is Big: One Mother's Spiritual Journey into Parenting.

So when I stop meditating, I start to lose the benefits. Mostly more perspective, patience and calm. I've found Deepak Chopra's 21 day meditations to be short enough to stay on top of. More or less, and less seems to be enough :)

I buy myself greeting cards. I do. Beautiful ones, inspirational ones. I don't always write in them... sometimes I just put them up in the kitchen, on my dresser, or in my office. Here is one of the latest: "In life, as in most things, for best results, you have to get a little dirt under your nails."

2013, thank you for the journey. Such beauty, strength and wisdom was gained from your lessons.
