WiseGuy Customz... is proud to introduce the only tubing bender of it's kind here on the Island. The "Tube Shark" is designed to bend thin wall tubing up to 2" in diameter without distortion. The best part is it's portable... meaning if required for custom bends, we can come to your worksite as long as you have a 220V power source. Contact us for more details...

Jeep Project - Oil leak repair - Step 1 - Engine removal If you watched the video below you know we discovered an oil leak dripping from the bell housing. Looking through the inspection panel we suspected the rear main seal which after separating the engine from transmission was confirmed. Fortunately we discovered the problem early enough that no damage came to the clutch...

Here's another flash from the past... As you know if you've read my opening post above, the Le Sage Family's Wiseguy Customz was formerly known as XXX Custom Rides and responsible for many crazy original designs. This example we were proud to do for a good friend Leona with our take of her own design... note the way she incorporated her own braid into her design

Ever had a situation where you bought an older car with an aftermarket stereo you didn't want? All you wanted was the stock radio that the car originally came with... but when you removed the aftermarket stereo you found something like this. Hacked-up dashes are not that big of a deal as long as the model of car you have has a removable dash. This example... '64 Mercury Comet Caliente is not as easy as just getting another dash, because this dash is not removable.... If you have a similar problem... we have the solution!

If you've ever been involved with having chrome work done to an old piece of steel, you know that chroming only makes the flaws more visible. Dents, deep scratches, or imperfections of any kind must be repaired before going to the chrome shop and body fillers are not an option... Shown here is a '33 Ford grill surround that when brought to us had already been worked on by others unable to make it right. Making it perfect takes both time & talent... but the end results speak for themselves!

A few years back we were given an opportunity to challenge ourselves with something different... it was an underwater ROV (remote operating vehicle) As history proved we've done a good enough job to get 3 different ROV repairs/restoration/modification jobs in total over the years. This one's body was compromised and taking on water at deeps in excess of 1600 feet so we were commissioned with 3 tasks. Identify & repair the body damage as it was not visible at sea level. Then d...esign & build a crash cage to stop it from happening again with a dual purpose of creating more mounting space for additional cameras & equipment... Although we were left to design the crash cage ourselves we were told it must be made of high strength lightweight marine stainless and all welds must be perfect, able to withstand the underwater pressure of 2000 feet... As history had proven most of the prior damage occurred while coming up under the Arctic Ice and therefor the upper structure was crucial. Then we were told of the 3rd task... more flotation was also required to compensate for not only the extra equipment they had planned but also the weight of our stainless cage. All the while, keeping in mind everything we were doing must withstand the tremendous water pressure at 2000 feet. Attempts by others had proven to fail, crushing under the pressure Needless to say, we were in over our heads (forgive the pun), so doing what we do... we hit the books. Learned everything we could about the correct materials to use, their weight vs buoyancy and how to get the best results when using them. The end result was the creation of what we named "Phantom of the Abyss" or "Abby" which proved to work great... and as the photos show, she looks pretty good too!

This series of photos shows just a small part of a major metalwork, body & paint project we did on this Show Winning '33 Ford. When the car came to us we were told it was ready for paint, yet once we got into it... we learned otherwise. This segment is focusing solely on the doors. To get the body lines perfect and the doors to close properly with correct gaps, we had to take a few steps backward and start over. Although expensive the end result shows for itself... ... I will show other segments of the project in future posts... stay tuned!

What you are looking at here is a custom chopper built by someone in Edmonton and brought to us for custom paint work on the tins... tank & fenders. The customers request was to "make it look like rust." He then went back to work in Alberta and when returned was introduced to this... We call it "Metal Flame"... We stripped the surfaces bare and soaked them out back for a month in Pacific Ocean salt water. Once satisfied with the surface rust formed we masked out our flames, media blasted & hand-ground the surfaces to accomplish the 3 different bare metal look... Add a little purple pinstriping as well as air brushed shadows and it appears dimensional. Even the Punisher Skull is hand ground into the steel fender. It was then clear coated... Please excuse the light reflection in the clear. Needless to say... the owner was pleased!
