Want to stop this cycle? Neurofeedback is a great way to train your brain, open up neural pathways that help with self regulation. It helps us think more clearly and get off the hamster wheel. Neurofeedback helps calm our central nervous system so we respond to things in a more healthy manner and are better able to deal with life stressors. #overthinking #hamsterwheel #wellness #calm #relax #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #anxiety #anxietyrelief #brainhealth #trainyourbrain #brainpower #adhd #depression #depressionhelp #braintraining #sleep #relax #relaxing #wisemancounsellingservices #awareness

Begin taking care of yourself. Begin looking for positives. Begin heading in the direction you want to go. Begin to surround yourself with positive people. Begin to have compassion for yourself and accept your emotions. Begin the life you want now. Begin to acknowledge your strengths and use them. Ask for help when you need it. When we experience stress, particularly for long periods of time we are actually strengthening the pattern in our brain, making it more difficult to return to a relaxed state. How can Neurofeedback make a difference? Unlike medications or strategies to reduce stress, neurofeedback trains the brain so responds differently to stress. Your brain can return to a natural, unstressed state or it can create new & healthier patterns to help alleviate stress. NEUROFEEDBACK helps reg...ulate your brainwaves and ultimately your emotions. Have a question? Want to try a session? I would love to hear from you. #neurofeedback #neurofeedbacktraining #brainhealth #trainyourbrain #wellness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #covid_19 #lockdown2020 #anxiety #anxietyrelief #stress #stressrelief #selfcare #selflove #awareness #strength #wisemancounsellingservices
I talk a lot about neurofeedback regulating brainwaves but what exactly are they? Brainwaves are patterns of electrical currents occurring in the brain and are the root of all our thoughts, emotions and behaviours. When they are functioning well, in balance, so are you for the most part. When they are out of balance, so are you. We need all of our brain waves and when we are using one set (or more than one set) too much or too little, it impacts our emotions, concentration... and ability to deal with life’s challenges or to fully embrace life. Over arousal in certain brainwaves is linked with anxiety, sleep problems, depression, anger, chronic nerve pain, and the list goes on .... Our brain determines our emotional states, perceptions and ultimately how we respond. It is how we react to events that impacts the resilience of each system in our bodies. Both mental and physical health starts with the brain and this is how neurofeedback plays such a significant role. Neurofeedback trains your brain to work at its best. It helps eliminate uncomfortable patterns while restoring brainwaves to their optimal state through the brain’s ability to heal itself or create new pathways. When this occurs, secondary symptoms also fade away. Thank you @the.love.therapist for the description of each set of brainwaves. #brainwaves #brainhealth #braintraining #wellness #neurofeedback #neurofeedbacktraining #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #anxiety #anxietyrelief #depression #depressionhelp #trauma #traumarecovery #adhd #ptsd #selfcare #selflove #compassion #beyourbestself #neuroplasticity #wisemancounsellingservices
