Hello, We wanted to remind everyone that we are offering everyone that is registered before the 21st of September a chance to win 100$ off their registration. We are opening the registration till approximately October 15th 2020 as we understand there are many changes this year and this delayed ours and well as others registration processes. We will be having icetimes starting this week. ... Before any girl can go on the ice, you will need to register and you will also require to fill some paperwork this year for Covid. Please follow our facebook site and www.wkfha.ca for updates. We are also still looking for some coaching positions if you are interested as well as volunteer position. Please contact us to let us know your interest. We will provide updates as best as possible but we know that many operational plans are still changing as all the facilities are trying to address the HNB guidelines as well as the GNB guidelines for covid. Again I would like to thank all the volunteers that help with the upcoming season and look forward to seeing all those smiles.

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful summer so far. We have had a very busy summer working on many operational aspects of our growing association. The executive has started receiving some details from arenas and tentative opening dates, but many are still in flux and return to play (RTP) plans are still in the works for the facilities (six facilities). As associations, we need to have this information in order to create our unique operational plans. We are als...o starting to get a clearer picture of the financial impact all of these Covid related changes will have on our association. This may translate into an increase of registration fees. For example, it is unlikely that we will have our DQ tournament; which has been a huge source of income and the main reason we could keep the registration fee so low in comparison to other organizations. Unfortunately, there is much uncertainty surrounding this upcoming season; but, we will both face it and make the best of it for our children. As part of our planning process this summer, a few new positions have been added to the association. We are pleased to welcome the following new members: Denis Ouellette - Director of Coaching June Leger - Secretary Yuri Breau - Director of Equipment Nathalie LeBlanc - Covid Coordinator - Director of Communication Chelsey Ouellette - Director of Ice Allotment and Officials Thank you to all those who have decided to help out with our growing association. We are very grateful! The association is always looking for more volunteers, so if you are interested in helping, please let us know. In terms of registration, we are planning on having a 2020-2021 season and are hoping to be able to open our registration shortly. It will look different this year, but it is our intention to make the season as GREAT as possible. Please like our site and share our posts to let the word out. Similar to last season, we are working on having a potential PRESEASON CAMP for 2020. It is not finalized and as with everything else, there are delays outside of our control. If we are able to offer a PRESEASON CAMP, an announcement will be sent out as soon as possible. Volunteers are also working on updating the WKFHA website to help keep parents and coaches better informed, not only in terms of the Covid-19 protocols, but also in terms of the operational aspects of the association. Hope this finds you all well. Have a great rest of summer. Mario Bourque President WKFHA
