Salaam everyone! The Laurier MSA and RIS are proud to announce that we will be collaborating again this year for a chance to win 5 TICKETS! Held in December, the RIS is a Canadian Muslim youth initiative that showcases leadership from across the globe from various backgrounds and schools of thought, united and joining hands to promote peace, tolerance, intellectual growth, and introspection. This convention, one of the larger Muslim convention in North America with 25,000 a...ttendees, has provided a healthy platform for dialogue and bridge-building. This year, we are truly taking RIS international, by presenting a virtual platform to showcase our luminary scholars and thought leaders from around the world. This convention would be available to everyone from all across the globe, to benefit from, by viewing it from the convenience of their homes. We hope to present an inspiring, uplifting and hopeful message for our times that is well produced and presented in the best way possible using the latest and most innovative technology available. We are really excited to have partnered and developed a virtual platform that will make this experience distinct. Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatu. This year our MSA in collaboration with @guelphmsa and @uwmsa was able to create and deliver 100 care packages across Southern Ontario. With all of your help, we were able to raise $1895 for Islamic Relief just from the packages. Jazakha’Allahu Khairan to everyone who bought a care package and donated to this wonderful cause. A special thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy into making this project a success. May Allah SWT reward all of us for our efforts. We really loved working on this project and got to document it with the help of all of you. We also wanted to give a shout-out to everyone who made this week so successful! Hope you enjoy!
