U11 Blue has been a energetic bunch since they hit the ice. Always up for a challenge, and push themselves to learn new things. They always have great attitudes and have adapted well with the changes we have faced this year. The boys in blue began the season off to a good start with a tie and a big 11-2 win! Players and coaches are eager to get back at games to show off those skills they been working on!

This group of mostly first year boys are full of energy! They were excited to get a couple of games in so far this year with a win the first game and an exciting finish for a tie in their second game. We have already seen a tonne of improvement from these kids this year and can’t wait to see how far they come by the end of the year. The U11 AtoMc Silver boys are looking forward to hopefully playing some more exciting games in the New Year.and I think coaches Ryan Swayze, Darcy Carter, Vinny Goodfellow, and Brett Slater might be more excited to get some games in! Coach Ryan always says Hard work always brings fun and hard work and fun is what these boys are doing. Our U11 AtoMc Silver.

Introducing the 2020-2021 U7 Young Guns We have such a great group of kids. The Young Guns show up each week to the rink, big smiles on their faces, no matter the change, they are just happy to be out on the ice. We have some pretty spectacular coaches as well. Coaching 5 and 6 year olds is a lot like herding cats .... with skates.... but our coaches rock it. Every week. Good job U15 Knight Dodge Wings!

The U18A TS&M South East Goldwings are made of 14 players from Weyburn, Estevan, Montmarte, Corning & Windthorst. Coached by Rob Stajniak, Aaron Cugnet and Terry Benning; these girls got 4 games in before the shut down in their Mini league consisting of South East, Carlyle, Regina, Prairie Storm and Balcarres.

Knights are no strangers to wearing masks and the U9 Dodge Caravan Knights are rocking them on and off the ice. The Knights were only able to get in one battle before the pause of games but this has allowed us to focus on preparing for potential battles in the new year. Our goalies are learning quickly and getting ready to face attackers while our players are taking advantage of the full ice to build speed and agility for when we face our opponents in the future. The team is ...made up of a great group of kids 5 are veteran Knights (Emerson Mclaren, Brycen Norman, Denver Marshall, Ashton Schenk, Rhett Kittelson) and 5 are rookie Knights (Huntley Archibald, Joshua Gill, Paislee Besharah, Rhys Fowler, Rylan MacNaughton) The team is lead by Coaches Ryan Mclaren, Dean Schenk, Steve Archibald managed by Tyah MacNaughton. Keeping us covid safe is our team rep Nicole Gill and the Knights are supported by many parent volunteers each week. Did you know a knights armour weighed over 55lbs built to stand up to sword attacks thankfully the U9 Knights armour is only about 8lbs and built for slap shots and stick slashes. See more

The U15 Coop Wings have had a great 2020 season so far... considering. We managed to get 6 games in and have seen a lot of improvement from our 18 player team over the short season. Many kids are still adjusting to contact hockey, but we have seen great match ups from Weyburn, Radville, Milestone and Yellow Grass. A season is only what you make of it and although 2020 has been far from perfect, our team has enjoyed what it has given us exercise, entertainment and team. Thanks for all who have helped to make our season possible including the WMHA Exec., our COVID support team and parents. U15 Coop Wings are coached by Kelly Gervais, Marty Brown and Doug Walter and managed by Tonya and Dallas Chinski.

The U13 Canadian Tire Goldwings were fortunate to get 6 games in this year. They want to say Thank you to all the coaches and parents for their hard work and dedication. They are happy to be on the ice and continue to work hard on development.

We are asking all who are using our hockey rink to please follow all of the rules. Enter: Front Entry Only Exit: Out Side Doors Only Only 1 Parent Per Househol...d is allowed Parent/Guardian must exit out the side door as soon as the practice is over. Players/Coaches may enter 20 mins ahead of ice time. Parents may only enter 5 mins ahead of scheduled time. PLEASE RESPECT OUR STAFF WHO ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO KEEP THINGS RUNNING SMOOTHLY. Introducing the U 11 DQ Blizzards, these girls have been working hard on development. They unfortunately weren’t able to get a game in this year but they keep showing up and its paying off.

The NSWB Law Firm LEAFS are a new addition to the WMHA U9 division this year following the long overdue removal of the Bruins team from the team list. The U9 L...EAFS sport the same jersey colours/design as the most beloved team in the NHL (the Toronto Maple Leafs) and are under consideration as a possible farm team for the often victorious NSWB LAW FIRM LEAFS in the Weyburn Senior Female Rec League. Similar to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the U9 LEAFS’ roster consists of a great group of young superstars. With only two 2nd year veterans(Jase Parise and Logan Payak) and eight 1st year rookies (Alexander Cutler, Carter Colborn, Olivia Corbett, Noah Manko, Abigail Weger Payton Bell, Rhett Pierce and Deacon Wanner) the kids have had to mimic the play of Marner and Nylander and use their speed and passing to their advantage over teams with more size and experience. Led on the bench by some past local hockey heroes, the players receive plenty of wisdom and encouragement from Sarah Pierce and the coaching couple, Jerid and Jody Corbett. Jody and Sarah are both teachers by day and coaches by night/weekend and their education background helps them to keep the kids attention and teach them the game of hockey. Did you know that Leafs is often thought to be a grammatical error but in fact, it follows the rule that nouns used as proper nouns take regular plurals for the same reason that if you were to go hiking the Beartooth Mountains you would say you hiked the Beartooths and not the Bearteeth.
