Les enfants se développent mieux dans le contexte de relations bienveillantes. L’heure du cercle avec poupée offre la possibilité aux jeunes enfants de vivre l'expérience de la nourrice en interagissant avec leurs poupées (ou ours en peluche) de la même manière que nous, en tant qu'adultes bienveillants, pouvons interagir avec eux. Pendant que les enfants jouent avec leurs poupées, ils revivent et renforcent l'attachement et le lien qu'ils entretiennent avec leurs tuteurs et leurs parents. L’heure du cercle avec poupée est un moyen de s'assurer que les enfants éprouvent l'attachement, l'harmonisation et le jeu social requis pour un développement cérébral optimal. *Ce programme est offert en anglais seulement. Au Centre de ressources communautaires d'Ottawa ouest et à la Maison Chrysalis, nous sommes profondément attristés et préoccupés par la fermeture du Centre d'aide aux victimes de viol d'Ottawa (ORCC). L'accès aux soutiens spécialisés pour les survivantes est limité et cette fermeture créera plus de pressions sur les ressources déjà épuisées. En tant que membre de la Coalition d'Ottawa pour mettre fin à la violence contre les femmes (#OCTEVAW), nous nous engageons à soutenir à... la fois la communauté et le conseil d'administration d'ORCC pour aider de quelque manière que ce soit à faciliter une résolution rapide afin que les services puissent reprendre le plus rapidement possible. Les anciens membres du personnel, les survivantes et les membres de la communauté ont demandé plus d'informations et de responsabilité au conseil d'administration de l'ORCC. Nous appuyons ces demandes et nous exhortons le conseil d'administration de l'ORCC à y répondre comme un premier pas vers le rétablissement de la confiance dans l'organisation. #ORCC See more

Children develop best within the context of caring relationships. Baby Doll Circle Time provides the opportunity for young children to experience being the nurturer by interacting with their baby dolls (or teddy bear) in the same ways that we as caring adults might interact with them. As the children play with their dolls, they relive and strengthen the attachment and connection that they have with their caregivers and parents. Baby Doll Circle Time is a way to ensure that children experience the attachment, attunement, and social play required for optimal brain development. We, at Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre and Chrysalis House, are deeply saddened and concerned by the closure of the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre (ORCC). Access to the specialized supports for survivors are limited and this closure will create more pressures on already stretched resources. As a member of the Ottawa Coalition To End Violence Against Women (#OCTEVAW) we are committed to supporting both the community and ORCC Board of Directors to assist in any way to facilitate a timely resolution so that services can be resumed as quickly as possible. Former staff, survivors and community members have requested more information and accountability from the Board of ORCC. We are in support of these requests and we urge the Board of ORCC to respond as a first step towards rebuilding trust in the organization. #ORCC
