Dark Woods Brewing and Coffee Roasting Jackson's Pharmasave Innisfail Medical Clinic Innisfail Town Office The Legion Tim Hortons The Spark for this project came during a meeting with various local non-profits In Innisfail and is in response to a mental health crisis in our community. rates of suicide, addiction, & domestic abuse in Innisfail are Commonly higher than the provincial averages and are still rising. Because we have such strong partnerships between the town, and our various agencies we could easily see, that although our women often seek out available supports, our men do not. The purpose of this Project is to start and normalize conversations with men about mental health, it features local Innisfail men who are brave enough to step forward and speak out. These Photographs celebrate the emotions that aren’t often associated with mental health challenges but are key to overcoming them. We encourage you to think about and discuss what feelings these images evoke for you. Perhaps it is dignity, comradery, peace or determination, there are no right or wrong answers, just an opportunity to start conversations.
