Here are step by step instructions on how to sew your own easy Covid mask at home. I use 9x6 cotton fabric and you can iron in interfacing if you have some at home to make the mask more sturdy. Make sure your elastic is not twisted when you pin inside before you sew the ends close. Make sure to leave a small opening to be able to turn the mask right side out after you have completed the sewing. It is important to press the mask before you sew it as the ends can tend to be very thick and may be difficult to sew over. Heres step by step instructions on how to make a mask without any sewing necessary. I cut cotton fabric 9 x 6. The ribbons are about 15. I used Goop but you can also use E6000. You can order these on Amazon and many hardware stores also carry them. Make sure to pin the glued fold ends so the mask doesnt unfold completely when you put it on. I would only hand wash and lay flat to dry. I would only iron the areas that are not glued ... I havent ironed mine yet so not sure if the glue will get hot or melt.
