Nexon grade 9, Jagger grade 8, Huxlee grade 6, Hawkins kindergarten I am sitting here in complete silence, and I don’t know that I like it! Hawk has his first day of kindergarten and I miss his little voice already! Such a weird year this has been! ( I am sure you can all agree!) I still cannot really wrap my head around it all! Mitch moved in beginning of March to BC for a new job! It was a scary but very exciting life change we were all willing to make, the plan was to ge...t the house finished up and put on the market and hopefully sometime in the summer kids and I would move and we could start our new lives together with him... but 6 days after he left covid hit and we were all told our kids were staying home.... my heart sank and I became completely numb. My husband was gone and now all the kids were home!!! WTF!? .. the beginning of virtual learning was a struggle but the boys were troopers and got what they needed done. Listing the house was put on hold but it gave me that extra time to plug away at some house projects. We finally got the house listed and Then Summer came and was over so fast! Like oddly the fastest summer ever! I think we all thought this was gonna be the longest summer of our lives! Lol The closer we got to the end of summer our family made a tough decision that regardless if the house sells, boys and I will stay behind, let them have this last year to be with their family and friends. I couldn’t bare the fact of moving them 12 hours away and going to a new school during an effing pandemic! The last 5 months have been interesting to say the least! I admire my boys so much for how strong and brave they are! This next year is not going to be easy on them being away from their dad, and definitely not easy for Mitchy to be away from us, but we look so forward to the times we can be together and cherish his visit! This isn’t the end of the world, they are so strong and we have each other! We miss you Mitchy @hiebert_x_4 Life is like a road trip. Progress Photo Here is a little sneak at Hawkins room. When I walk in here it puts a big ol’ smile on my face! He is so proud of his room refresh! That roller blind isn’t the prettiest but it is keeping that sunshine out of his room for now until I find something else. It was finally such a beautiful day outside and it was exactly what we needed to lift our spirits up! Were you able to enjoy the sunshine today???
