The news is full of not so happy reports... so allow us to share with you #somegoodnews about our generous and caring community members! As pictured below is the result of the generous #Sault members donating to a food drive hosted by Krown Rust Control - Sault Ste Marie !!!! This was absolutely incredible and we (on behalf of the women and children we serve) are overwhelmingly thankful!... Our Child and Youth Support program provides desperately needed respite time for moms so they can attend appointments, accomplish tasks, or to simply take a breath.

Intimate partner violence most often occurs at a private residence... 84% of reported intimate partner violence occured in 2018 alone. Our Counselling Services emphasize a woman's right to access the community supports she needs to enrich her healing process. We recognize the strength inside every woman (even if she doesn't feel strong) and can provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment where women can make informed choices and steer their own counselling process.

Every single day, women and children face vast inequities in our communities, workplaces, and homes. And violence is the greatest gender inequality rights issue of all. We can’t wait any longer to come together and support the elimination of gender-based violence. November is Woman Abuse Prevention Month; let’s bring Ontario together to address this issue once and for all.

Going through the family law process can be daunting. We're here to help. Our Family Law workshop, How to Complete Court Documents, will give you a better understanding on how to fill out the different law court forms, including the financial statement. How do you know if you're in an abusive relationship? To some, this answer may come easily. To others, they may not see or understand that they are in an abusive relationship. "When Love Hurts" is a resource used by our staff to engage women in open, non-judgemental conversations about what abuse is, the effects of abuse, how to heal from abuse, and more. If you had to suddenly leave your home, what would you take with you? What if you didn't have time to take anything?! Your donation helps provide food, clean clothing, and hygiene products for local women and children fleeing domestic violence and abuse.
