For the past 2 weeks, there has been a historical movement to amplify the voices of people of colour and Indigenous peoples, and begin the fight against the inj...ustices that exist in our world. We have been listening and learning, and we know that journey has just begun. The University of Alberta has created a free online course to learn about Indigenous history in Canada, which is an excellent opportunity to learn and listen. I hope you will join me on this incredible learning opportunity: https://www.ualberta.ca//onli/indigenous-canada/index.html

Please see below some of our updates on how we are serving our community during these times! - Please knock or call before entering our offices. - we are limit...ing the number of persons in our offices at once, so please be mindful of this when you arrive. - it is preferable that you contact us beforehand to schedule an appointment - we are able to offer programming and supports one-on-one through phone, zoom, or social distance meetings - if you are struggling to obtain groceries, we have supports available for this - if you wish to complete one of our programs on your own, schedule a pickup time to receive one of our program booklets - we also have wellness packages available that include worksheets on identifying values, emotions log, colouring pages, and more! We wanted to update you all on the status of the centre; we are still currently operating remotely and offering our services by telephone (902-895-4295) email (... [email protected]) as well as online with our support worker page. We will begin to plan our re-opening process as soon as we receive the guidelines for doing so safely. It will be a slow and safe process as your safety is of utmost concern and will include social distancing measures as well as new protocols for other services. We hope you can be patient and should you need us please continue to reach out. We are here.
