No matter your choice of activity, whether it be yoga, going for a run, indoor or even outdoor cycling, we'd love to hear what ways y...ou're staying active so we can motivate each other as a community. So much has changed in 2020, and as Dr. Effie Habsha elegantly said in the Editorial article of our October 2020 edition of the WID: Work Life Balance journal - We can take comfort in appreciating that we are all in this together. Dentists all over the world have experienced similar obstacles during these unprecedented times. The most interesting part is that although our individual experiences differ, many key aspects are remarkably similar. Take a peak into our journal to...day, you might just find yourself relating to some of the wonderful stories told by women dentists around the world. . . . . #dentaljournal #womenindentistryjournal #womenempowerwomen #womenindentistry #healthandwellness #healthcare #journal #womeninleadership #staysafe #healtheducation #relatable #inspire #womendentist #dentist #dentistlife See more

Webinars are back! After a summer hiatus, WID is so happy to announce the launch of our monthly webinars! We will kick off the series in collaboration with the CDA @cdaoasis @cdndentalassoc on a very timely topic: The Current State of Affairs -The Impact of Covid-19 on Dentistry Today. Just as we are beginning to get accustomed to the new normal we are bombarded with more uncertainties around what the future holds. Many dentists have concerns about a second wave of C...ovid-19 and how it will affect their practices. Will we be required to shut down again? Will there be a PPE shortage? Join our panel discussion moderated by Chiraz Guessaier, with Chair of the Covid-19 response team for the CDA, Dr. Aaron Burry and dentists Dr. @dralbatish , Dr. Leith and Dr. @effiehabsha This will be an interactive program with a Q&A session. Feel free to submit any questions prior to the event by email or DM. Calcium is such an important part of the healthy development of your teeth! This is Virginia Holsinger, she studied lactose products and was a huge part of the development of lactose-free milk products for those of us who are lactose intolerant! Posted @withregram @stemfellowshipyorku Happy #WomenInSTEMWednesday! Virginia Holsinger was a chemist who studied dairy products. Specifically, she created a grain blend that when mixed with water, would provide food for those affected by war, drought, and famine. Through her study of lactase, she also developed the basis for commercial products that allowed milk to be digested by lactose-intolerant customers. #STEM #WiSW #WomeninSTEM #STEMFellowship #science #inspiration
