Friday March 8th Training Day ~ Reinvention: Resiliency and the Science of Positive Psychology. This educational event is for people that are service providers or caregivers. It includes 2 seminars plus a light lunch of sandwiches, raw veggies, deserts, coffee, tea and ice water. 8:30AM 12:00PM Facilitating Positive Change: This is an in-depth overview of 6 stages of change and how to recognize the stage that someone is experiencing for a timely and more effective intervent...ion to assist them in making positive changes. 1:00PM - 4:00PM Resiliency and The Science of Positive Psychology: This seminar is about increasing what I would call personal hardiness for modern times. Have you noticed more than ever before how so many people are feeling overwhelmed with stress in their personal and/or work lives? Could you benefit from knowing more on how to move through extreme challenges without becoming debilitated? Jonathan is going to offer insights to increase resiliency through positive psychology. FYI, the Science Positive Psychology has been one of the most popular courses at Harvard University. I`m really looking forward to this! WARNING ~ NO CANDLES AND BUBBLE BATH DISCUSSIONS!! Jonathan has a 25-year career in the caregiving field that includes working with at-risk youth, helping adults with physical and intellectual exceptionalities, and counselling people with serious mental illnesses. He`s an expert in the subject of Positive Psycholgy. His seminars offer innovative approaches to facilitate one`s ability to bounce back from tremendous challenges and actually flourish. A Dynamic and entertaining speaker his energy and humor leave audiences wanting more! Some of the staff from Women`s Resources of Kawartha Lakes saw Johnathon speak at the first National Shelter Conference last spring and were so impressed that we invited him to Lindsay.
