Wonder Years Facebook Raffle! To help support the start up of Wonder Years Child Care, we are holding a Facebook Raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will be used towards furnishing our classrooms and filling them with rich and engaging materials. Tickets are 1 for $5.00 or 3 for $10.00 and will be on sale until September 30th. We will draw prize winners on October 1st in a live video. ... E transfers can be sent to [email protected]. Happy Mother’s Day

Hi everyone! My name is Randi McCallum, I reside in Burgessville with my spouse Tyler and our 2 year old daughter Amelia. We are very excited as we are growing our family and expecting another baby girl at the beginning of August. We are even more excited that our little girls will be apart of the Wonder Years family. I come from a very big family, and I have always been passionate about working with children. It brings me great joy to be able to support children in their gro...wth and development during their early years by helping them strive to become their best selves. I began my career at Just 4 Moms and Kids in Scotland where I became a full-time employee and took on a head teacher role as a Toddler teacher. Going to work everyday and developing meaningful and impactful relationships with the children and families at the centre made me feel that I was right where I needed to be. I was given the great opportunity to expand my education and knowledge about children by being offered an apprenticeship through Just 4 Moms & Kids, which led me to graduate from Fanshawe College with my Early Childhood Educator diploma as well as a Child Development Practitioner diploma in 2018. This experience taught me so much as an educator as well as being a parent, and I can’t wait to share this knowledge within the centre. I have always dreamt of opening a licensed childcare centre and after Sarah and I talked and shared our dreams and visions, I knew I had found the right partner to embark on this journey with. I am so delighted that Wonder Years Child Care is coming to life and I look very forward to meeting and learning about the children and families who will join us when we open our doors! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these hard times, we can’t wait to meet you when it is safe to do so.

It is a pleasure to be introducing myself to the Wonder Years Child Care community. My name is Sarah Zeyen, I live in Otterville with my spouse and 18 month old daughter, Madelyn. I am excited to share, we are expecting our second child in late October 2020. Working with children has always been my passion in life and it was natural that my post secondary education reflects this. I graduated from Fleming College in Peterborough with a diploma in Early Childhood Education (EC...E) in 2008. I started my Early Childhood Education career working in an emergent curriculum child care centre in Peterborough, Ontario. I enjoyed working in child care for 4 years but decided to expand my education and specialize in the Communication Disorders Program at Lambton College, Sarnia. I graduated with a diploma in Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) in 2012. After graduation, I accepted a full time position with Thames Valley District School Board in the Full Day Kindergarten Program as an ECE. I worked in the FDK classroom for 5 years and part time practicing speech and language at a private speech clinic in Tillsonburg. My focus changed and I transitioned to supply ECE with TVDSB and full time at the speech clinic to gain more clinical experience. After maternity leave with my first child, I began to put my long time dreams of opening a child care centre to fruition. Meeting Randi McCallum, we discovered that we had similar visions and so our journey begins! I am excited to meet all of our future toddler/ preschool children and their families. I look forward to growing and learning with you.
