One of my favourite books I’ve read this past year is @annhuiwrites personal history, Chop Suey Nation. It weaves a personal journey together with the rich histories of countless Canadian Chinese restaurants and their owners from coast to coast. It was particularly compelling to me because my own family’s history can be easily found within the lives of those Ann encounters across the country. We’ve got copies of it available here starting Friday.
