Room 5 Queen Canopy room is romantic in a different sort of way. We decided to keep one of the antique four poster beds, with the Westin Heavenly comfort of course. Cozy, romantic, nostalgic, shall we put some old Ann of Green Gables volumes on the bedside table? There is a great closet in this room. It is in the Victorian side, between Room 4 and 6, and right next to the stairs going up to the treetop rooms 7 and 8 or stairs going down to the main floor. The upgraded bathroom has a large rainhead shower. The large window looks down into the back yard garden to see what will soon be a gas fire bowl pit surrounded by comfortable seating for a late nightcap.

Room 4 King Room with an antique French armoire, a restored-from-our-attic chaise in the bay window, 9 foot ceilings in this part of the house. So, yes, that means a 9' high rainhead shower in the carrerra-marble lined new bathroom. The Victorian style of this part of the home demands elegance, so the quiet tones allow the wonderful detail to speak for itself. Artwork consists of limited editions of Group of Seven Canadian Art. The gas fireplace is a new insert, the mantel found in an antique shop, its design is named The Niagara, and is as old as the house! Again, there is great morning light. The room lends itself to a great space for getting ready for that special occasion, or just curling up with a good book for a break from all the hustle and bustle.

Room 2 King room with a corner fireplace, desk, comfy chair and footstool. Four large bright windows surrounded by trees allow for a great view no matter the season. There is an ancient apricot tree just outside the window by the tub that is spectacular when in bloom! This room is on the Georgian side, second floor, so the ceiling is low, but in a comfortable sort of way. There is a large walk-in lit closet. The quartz soaker tub is extra deep. I am not sure if I have mentioned this yet about these spectacular Quartz tubs we have. They retain the heat longer than any other kind of tub; they really are the best tubs on the market. (and we never run out of hot water). So, you know what that means! Make time for some pampering. An assortment of bath salts are on hand to choose from.

Great space to stretch out and make yourselves at home, whomever gets to the library first has an intimate breakfast infront of the fireplace in a room dripping in history and nostalgia, wall to wall books, some of which we found in the attic and are as old as 1812. The dining room is bright and is furnished with 6 small tables, that can easily be moved together to accomodate groups that are spending time together over breakfast. And then there is what we call the Ballroom.... When it was designed 175 years ago it was the largest room in the village, and was used for many group activities. The high ceilings and ornate plaster demand a sense of elegance, the huge pocket doors work like they were made yesterday, closing for a great space to accomodate all sorts of group meetings or family or friend gatherings. One thing we decided to do when upgrading this great building last year was to insulate between rooms for sound. So whatever excuse you have against staying in old houses, that one has been addressed! See more

Room 3 Queen room is the coziest room. There is access to this room from the Georgian side, original door, and/or up three steps to the Victorian side. In the little staircase, there is a secret hiding place where they used to hide loaded guns! Anyways, back to the room...a half table that was left in the attic serves as a vanity base now in the bathroom, everything else has been updated. There is an original cupboard with skeleton key; to use it transports you back in time. A new fireplace in the corner completes a warm welcome with the Hudson Bay blanket. Canadian carvings art by Caron of two old men playing chess, and a wall relief of a cabin, and framed prints by Canadian artist W. Morgan.

Room 7 King room in the treetops, extra large canoe-shaped quartz tub, in an extra-large bathroom...rainhead shower, slate floors are heated for an extra over the top something something! There is an assortment of bath salts available while you linger in a relaxing soak, glass of wine (byo) and good book maybe. The bed, as are all beds in Woodbourne, is a Westin Heavenly comfortable, pressed linen and Hudson Bay blanket. Canadian ambiance at its best! Highest end thick white... towels and bathrobes. Added detail is that the headboards in the attic rooms are made from the rafters that held up the roof, until of course the engineer said that we needed something a bit more substantial to support the dormer that was added in order to create this special space. The floors are original, sanded down and beautifully refinished to show a very long history of use. Slate surrounds the fireplace that can be turned on/off with the flick of a switch at bedside. The 'Narnia' wardrobe is a local antique, so unpack and stay for awhile! (The two attic rooms are great for friends to take over that third floor, but that takes planning ahead, as these rooms are everyone's favourites.) One more detail is that being the attic, we had to install heating/air conditioning, and that is in a minisplit just for your room so that you can control temp yourself. See more

Some of the trees are as old as the home, or older, towering over Woodbourne, some of which are on the Honour Roll of Ontario Trees. The name of the Inn means Place of the Stream. Across the Four Mile Creek Rd. is the stream, running through what is now our local St. Davids golf course. It is land that once belonged to the Woodruf family. The circular brick driveway was installed last year when the renovations took place in preparation for the Inn. The antique cobblestone bricks were made 150 years ago, for a town not far from here, when horse and carraige was the only mode of transportation.

This room is located in the tree tops of Woodbourne Inn. The Attic has two king rooms with highest end new bathrooms. The original floors have been refinished and are spectacularly warm wood. The headboards are made of the original rafters that held the roof up for 175 years. The bathrooms include quartz soaker tubs, rainshower heads, classic subway tiles, vanities made of vintage wine barrels. Floors are natural slate and heated for decadent comfort. Mattresses are the best of the best Westin Heavenly and Lands End towels and bathrobes make it hard to leave your room, (remember you are in Niagara to explore!) Fireplace and Canadiana Hudson Bay blankets, this is a room for any day of the year, summer or winter. Heating and A/C are individually installed for your personal control and comfort.

Room 1 King room with large soaker quartz tub, shower with rainhead option, six bright windows and the original Rumford fireplace with a gas insert making a romantic true to life ambiance option with the flick of a button. Canadian made wool blanket, window seats, a closet for tucking away luggage and hanging up suits and gowns for that special occasion. Georgian symmetry and original pine floors, the room welcomes you as a room that has always offered comfort. It is on the main floor, the doors are wider than most being historically designated. We want to offer a space that is easy to access for those with mobility issues, ie. no inside stairs. It is a favourite for many because of its proximity to all the common area rooms and the exterior doors.
