We're hoping to open registration for the 2021 season later this month. The plan is to start the season in April if AHS restrictions will allow it. General Info for the season (U8,U10,U12,U14 and U16) The season runs from early April until the end of June (approx. 24 sessions).... All players receive a shirt, shorts and socks to keep Teams have two floor times per week. The season will include practices and games. The season will end with a Day of Champions. Depending on AHS guidelines there may be the opportunity to form a tournament team to compete in tournaments and provincials. The hope is to offer an all female division. If a female wishes to register in the co-ed division they may do that as well. If the numbers are unsustainable in a particular division, that division may combine with another female division or into the co-ed division at their respective age group. Required Equipment is a hockey/lacrosse helmet with a cage, lacrosse/hockey gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, mouthguard, jock/jill, lacrosse stick and clean running shoes. U6 The Mini Tyke age division is for players born in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The 2021 registration fees are $275. The Mini Tyke season is set up as follows: The season runs from early April until the end of June (approx. 24 sessions). All players receive a shirt, shorts and socks to keep. Any new Mini Tyke players to the association will receive their own stick to keep. Mini Tykes have two floor times per week TENTATIVELY Tuesdays and Thursdays. All Mini Tykes will be on the floor at the same time and divided into respective teams The Mini Tyke season will end with a Day of Champions. Required Equipment is a hockey/lacrosse helmet with a cage, lacrosse/hockey gloves, lacrosse stick and clean running shoes.
We’ve been getting a lot of media requests if the Wood Buffalo Bison was one who stormed the US Capitol yesterday. We can proudly say he was here in Fort McMurray the whole day working on his stick getting ready for the 2021 season.
Hi Parents, Below is a survey for anyone looking to help coach this season or help in the organization of divisions. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks... https://docs.google.com//1mIrFTEtjVQh_YD_TxnU0wyDnAR9/edit
Merry Christmas!
How cool is this? Sawyer was able to infuse his lacrosse shorts as part of his regalia. We’re happy and lucky that we get to play the medicine game during this time. Keep up the great work Sawyer!!! @lacrosse_canada @albertalacrosse @ab.ind.games @thompsonbrotherslax #creatorsgame #medicinegame
We will be back in 2021!!!! Keep your sticks in your hands.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of lacrosse friends and family! Enjoy the snow.
It’s great see so many of our Bison players back playing their off season sports like hockey, ringette and basketball. We can’t wait to get back at it in 2021.
