Dear valued customers, friends and family: Please take your time to read our message, it means a lot to us. Floods, prolonged rain, and storms have occurred in Central Vietnam annually. People in that area have learned how to live through them, every year. However, aside from Covid 19, this disaster did not spare us, as Central Vietnam is once again suffering the most devastating flood in decades. According to CNN, more than 100 people are dead and 22 still missing. 7,200 he...ctares of food crops have been submerged and damaged. More than 691,000 cattle and poultry have been killed or swept away. 16 national highways and 161,800 meters of roads in 4 provinces have been damaged. Hundreds of thousands of households have been displaced, and the psychological harm caused by life and death situations can not be overlooked. We are a small Vietnamese family here at Wooden Fish Restaurant. It is painful for us to read about, and watch people back home suffering, knowing we cannot do anything to help. So we decided to host a fundraising campaign to lend our little hand to those affected by the central Vietnam floods. All of the revenue/tips collected on the coming Saturday (October 31st, 2020), will be donated to a charity in Vietnam, for rebuilding and helping people in Central Vietnam, after this disaster.
