When @chrislovesjulia came out with her list of wood pedestals, I knew I had to make myself one and then @designedsimple showed how she made hers and the fact that I had to clean out the two door garage for the load of fire wood that is coming, I got my butt in gear and spent two daysish using up the last of my barn board scraps. So for any one who wants one I had enough wood to make 38. They are $5/squarish ones and $10/ round ones. Check out my stories for more ideas and my pedestals that I have for sale. DM me if you want one. First picture is of @designedsimple diyed pedestals

This little jewellery holder has been sitting around the island for a few days(? ), Life has been a little overwhelming at the moment and I kept forgetting to let @huttenjoanne know that it was finished. So here she is in all her glory, if you have studs, a little bowl fits on top to hold them all. Sidenote, how are y'all feeling about covid and this living document for back to school reopening. I love the fact that my kids are going back to school, (don't get me wrong I love them at home too but for their learning and friends sake I love that they are going back) but the uncertainty of a full year has me thinking it would be easier to just homeschool from the start. Anyone else? Learning to give this up to the foot of the Cross and take one day at a time but at times I am still feeling overwhelmed. #woodinspireyou
Question, if you could work for anything besides cash , what would you work for? Me, wood all day every day, oh occasionally plants!! I have a list of projects that I want to make but I don't have the material to build it with. I had the opportunity to work for my bil and I said"I will work for ash" he said, but we want him too, thinking I was talking about my son. No I said I will work for the wood ash!! So if you need me to do some work for you I take payment in wood!!! Have a wonderful weekend y'all. #woodinspireyou
Momma's birthday project. The tutorial said it took her and her husband 6 hours to weave their bench, I am on hour 10.(nobody seems to want to help me)
My Ikea cushion covers came in so I finished up my cedar outdoor couch, inbetween the thunder storm. I had some foam left over that I cut up to size and slipped my $10/$15 cushion covers over top. It is a good thing I doubled up the bottom pieces of foam bc nobody wants to feel those 2*4's under your butt. Oh and the little table that I refinished, I gave it a little upgrade by adding another tier to it. I remembered I had those steel legs made up by a friend but never got around to making a bench out of them. It serves a double duty, if we need extra seating, we can just remove it and we have a bench. Now if someone had a solution for these pesky flies, I would sit here all day, probably not but it is worth dreaming about it. #outdoorliving #woodinspireyou
#2 calling this one mud kitchen house.
Mud kitchen numba 1 is done. Well so is number 2 but it gets its own post. The little girls and boys at this school that ordered them are going to have so much fun mixing dirt and water and leaves, rocks and anything else they can get their little hands on to play in this kitchen. Kinda jealous we didn't have a mud kitchen at our school!! (It is easier to bring a box of staging items outside when your hubby is not home. As I left the door he said I am not going to ask) If you are interested in one, DM me. Cedar mud kitchen, 24" w * 48" L and the back is 48" high and the front is 24" high Accessories not included!
Finished up another house number sign. A nice way to freshen up the front of your house and add some curb appeal.

It was a toss up between these two pictures to introduce myself on IG. So here I am, Nicoline, pronounced Nic~olene. Many people get lost with my name after I say Nicol, so I just tell everyone to call me Nic. (But I do love it when I hear my whole name and pronounced correctly ) I have been dabbling in wood working for a few years now and for Christmas or birthday I received a new tool which helped me to make most of my projects. Fun fact: when I smile my one eye squints re...al bad and it actually looks like it is closed so I had to make a conscious effort to open my eyes wide and smile at the same time. Not as easy as it soundsThese two baby name rounds are heading off to my niece and nephew. They were a huge learning curve for me but many thanks to @thehouseoftimber for all of her great tips and tricks I pulled these two off. I am not so great with cutting out straight letters so I opted to paint their middle names. Hope they love them as much as I do. And that's that. Have a blessed rest of the weekend. @ Centre Wellington See more
Another round family name sign went out the door last week. I have been busy at the house working on finishing up the board and batten on the outside and along with this round two other baby name rounds. Stay tuned for more pictures. I am busy making 160 Mini cheese cakes for the grade 12 graduation on Friday
Doooooonnnneeeee(me singing in opera!!) Christmas's of hope for the pregnancy Center. Truth be told the little green ones are my favorite especially the one with the pom Poms. I went through my Christmas box and decided to use what was in there to decorate the little ones. Heres to hoping that they love them as much as I do. #woodinspireyou #Christmasofhope
