Have you carefully labelled all of your children’s belongings? Please try to ensure staff can return lost items to students by labelling and relabelling (when it starts to wear off) all personal belongings. Check out these lost and found items and send a note to school with your child if something belongs to you. Parents of remote learners should feel free to contact the school to make an appointment for pick up.

On bus driver appreciation day, our amazing students offered our school-purpose vehicle drivers a special treat! There were gold shiny balloons lining the bus loop, special messages of love and appreciation and even a box of smarties that said, "We WHEELIE want to STOP and say THANKS!" A very special shout of of thanks to Ms. Kennedy and Mme. Pharand for leading their students through activities that recognize our cherished bus and van drivers and the difference they make!

Our Woodland Public School family wishes the families of our students a very Happy Thanksgiving! Amongst the many things for which we have to be thankful, we are especially grateful for the joy shared by our students and the on-going support of our parent community.

Dear Parents/Guardians, If your child is attending Woodland P.S. (for in-person learning) an important package was sent home recently. It contains many multi-coloured papers including permission forms for walking trips, medical forms, CASL permission (which allows us to send you email and other messages), etc. The timely return of these forms is critical to our school operations and your child's safe participation in school events. We know it's a lot of work, especially for families of multiple children, and we truly appreciate your assistance in fully completing and returning the package to school as soon as possible. Your continued partnership is a huge factor in your child's success and we're so thankful for you!

On this October 5, 2020 we recognize WORLD TEACHER’S DAY! The teachers of Woodland P.S. are particularly deserved of this special recognition. They are such a generous and committed group of educators who care deeply for their students. In a joint statement, UNESCO says, "In this crisis, teachers have shown, as they have done so often, great leadership and innovation in ensuring that #LearningNeverStops, that no learner is left behind. Around the world, they have worked individually and collectively to find solutions and create new learning environments for their students to allow education to continue. Their role advising on school reopening plans and supporting students with the return to school is just as important.

At Woodland P.S., we're so fortunate to have water bottle filling stations. Especially this year, this allows our students to stay hydrated all day long! The "bubblers" or sipping portion of the fountain is not permitted for use, in accordance with health and safety requirements amid Covid-19. Please encourage your child to bring a reusable water bottle to school each day for filling at our water stations. Thank you so much for your partnership!
