It is with mixed emotions that we announce Dr Paul Downing has officially retired from Woodlawn Dental Centre. We are happy for him on his next adventure in life and heavy hearted as he will no longer be a part of our dental team. Dr Downing hung his shingle at Woodlawn Dental Centre for a total of 41 years! And it will not be the same without him. It hasn't always been an easy road... there have been floods, fires, hurricanes, power outages, even a break in! Paul was always ...the first one there. He has rebuilt, repaired, and renovated several times throughout his career. Paul is a tried and true individual with a passion to help those in need. He has treated emergency patients on Christmas morning, New Years, and Easter Sunday. His patients love him. We all do. He also has a passion for dentistry and it shows in the quality of his work and the scope of knowledge he obtained over the years. Always willing to share his knowledge with his colleagues, he was often sought after from other dentists to help them with a challenging case. Dr Downing is a gentle and kind person and is able to see the positive in most everyone around him. We are grateful to have worked with him, and we will miss his shoulder shrugging laugh! Wishing "Dr. D" all the best in his new chapter; filled with his grandchildren, and family, days at the cottage, sailing at the Dartmouth yacht club, and playing his guitar - All the best!! You’re safety has always been important to us at Woodlawn Dental and we want to continue to provide your care in the safest manner, so we’ve implemented a few changes, some new equipment, and we have a bit of new look.

We are finally reopening at WDC....

We are happy to announce Our ability to re-open June 5th for emergency dental care. June 19th will be the day we can see patients for other dental care (ie. Hygiene). Hope to see you soon.
