Our comb honey is still available but quantities are limited so bee sure to pick up this delicious and hard to find treat before it is gone for the season
And it is a wrap for the 2020 honey pull ! We collected the boxes from the last 2 yards today and stopped for a coffee and a couple of donuts to celebrate ! The hot room is packed and the surplus is piled in the warehouse.... I think the honey gods were good to us this season ! I see a few days of extraction in our future ! Glad to have the heavy lifting done
We will be extracting honey this weekend so come see the action. We are open Saturday and Monday 10 to 5 but closed on Sunday
New items for sale this weekend at the shop thanks to the talents of Kerry Mapplebeck
Our sunflowers have finally popped and the bees love them
The tank is in the building ! We are trying to improve our process of handling honey. Thanks to Eastern Dairy Services, we now have a 1000 gallon bulk tank ready to take on a portion of this years crop. We will be able to pump directly from the clarifier into the tank, and from the bulk tank into the bottling tanks.....good bye to handling hundreds of pails. Happier beekeepers we will be
Fall is in the air and the nights are finally cooling off. Harvest is just around the corner and a few weeks before bringing in our honey boxes we do a check to ensure that queen has not been laying above the brood nest. It gives us a chance to check the health of every colony and determine the size of the crop. Took these pictures today in one of our yards..... every box full and packed with honey
No surprise to us

Back by popular demand we now have comb and chunk honey fresh from our hives This is the most natural form of honey. Bees fill in each frame with hexagon cells filled with capped honey. We leave them intact when we cut comb honey. Comb honey is not filtered. It is cut out right from the hive. That means all the anti-microbial and healthy properties from the pollen, propolis, and enzymes remain intact. When eating comb honey, you will be left with a bit of wax in your mout...h. You can spit it out, chew it like chewing gum, or swallow it. It is safe and healthy. Come visit us today and enjoy this special treat while it lasts Here is a sweet how to eat comb honey video we found https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1svmsokC30
