We are saddened by the news of Benjamin Prunty passing over the weekend. Benjamin was the former Concordia Student Union president and during his tenure he mobilized many amazing initiatives that are still having positive impacts on students today. He advocated for The Woodnote when it was just an idea and was one of the brains and hearts behind this project. We will forever be grateful to this kind, passionate soul, and for all he has done for the Montreal community and Conc...ordia students. We would like to wish Benjamin's community our deepest condolences. Nous sommes attristés par la nouvelle du décès de Benjamin Prunty ce week-end. Benjamin était l'ancien président de la Concordia Student Union et au cours de son mandat, il a mobilisé de nombreuses initiatives étonnantes qui ont encore des impacts positifs sur les étudiants aujourd'hui. Il a plaidé pour La Note des Bois alors que ce n'était qu'une idée et était l'un des cerveaux et des cœurs derrière ce projet. Nous serons toujours reconnaissants à cette âme aimable et passionnée, et pour tout ce qu'il a fait pour la communauté montréalaise et pour les étudiants de Concordia. Nous souhaitons à la communauté de Benjamin nos plus sincères condoléances.

Our friends at Neill-Wycik Cooperative in Toronto experienced a devastating electrical fire last week. They're seeking donations to support their residents, many of whom lost their possessions, were displaced, and have had their studies and work interrupted. "Any financial assistance provided will be so gratefully appreciated. These funds are needed as soon as possible, and could mean the difference between having food and safety for a very large number of people." Link to donate below!
