Kinda had an oops in church yesterday, Adrianna played at the first of the service to the singing of O Canada and the button didn’t get hit to start live streaming so I asked her to play after church, she did such a great job so proud of her. We also missed the 2 minutes of silence remembering those who has served and gave their lives and those who are still serving to keep Canada safe. May God Bless and keep them in his care.

From the Pastors Desk, As the new Pastor of Wood Point Baptist Church, I enjoyed spending time with the children's Olympian club tonight. With everyone sitting in their personal bubbles. I was asked to share in the Bible time. Our key verse was 2 Timothy 2:15. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (Memory verse for next) Will you join them in memorizing this verse. As an introduction we ta...lked about real and make believe hero's. We talk about how God wants to use all his children in special ways. We illustrated this with the difference between a real and fake plant! I spoke how God wants all his children no matter what age to be real heros living as God's children not pretending as make believe. The children sang some songs and played a game together. What a great time...I pray that God will bless this program, the workers and the children. Sincerely, Pastor Aaron LeGrow

Deuteronomy 5:1 begins, 1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. They are characteristic of the book of Deuteronomy, and so applicable for the Lord’s people at all times and in all places: Hear, Learn, Keep, and Do. Begin by asking ourselves the question, What does ‘Remembrance Day’ mean to me?... Ask the question , "Why?" Why do we make this a yearly event? The answer would likely be because, "the trouble is we forget so soon". The Israelites had the same problem of forgetfulness. Deuteronomy 5:15 "And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day." They were to "remember" the past so that they might have a better present and future. I. Remember - What You Were II. Remember - What Happened III. Remember - What We Should Be Let’s determine with God’s help to make this Remembrance Day a milestone when we: Remember with gratitude those who made possible our deliverance; Rejoice in our freedom; and Reaffirm our commitment to live responsibly.
