Prepping this spruce cookie to fill with cobalt blue epoxy for a friend.Taking bets on whether its going to leak? I have never done a cookie without atleast one small leak but found this video from Vik @thestumpshop He uses painters tape first for easier removal which ill be doing next time for sure . Nothing better than getting to the oil stage and it doesn't get much easier than @osmocanada . . 1101 Brush on - buff in for 10 minutes with white scotch pad - friction creates heat and pushed the oil further into the pores - wipe off excess with blue shop towel so there are no streaks - let dry for 24 hours. ... . We use 1 coat of 1101 on top and bottom and then 2 coats of 3043 top and bottom for maximum lasting durability. . I was using up left over epoxy here and the white had silicone drops mixed in. I spread all the pink and white out and torched the bubbles and then dusted it with dry gold mica.
