A Prayer for the Maji
We have so much to be thankful for. Share your gratitude. What are you thankful for today? #UCCan [Photo: Aaron Gallegos]
Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you to Rev. Kathryn, Katarina, Dave Chaplin, Barb Rafter, Veronika and Ivan Jovic, Geoff Letourneau, Ralph Curtis, Dave Peate, Judy Chaplin, Tricia Curtis, Nathan Golden, Matthew Larkin and Lyle Campbell and to members of the congregation who contributed their gratitude moments. Jamie Hockin did a great job of putting it all together.
Definitely worth reading.

Reread SLOWLY...let it sink in...
Today is Orange Shirt Day where we remember the children who were taken from their families to attend Residential Schools. They lost their language and culture but most of all the love of their families. Many of the children died. The trauma experienced by those that survived has had multi-generational effects. Every child matters.
Thank you to Rev. Kathryn, Katarina Jovic, Sue Bodkin, Valerie Shirobokov, Bruce and Beth Junkins, Tricia Curtis, Lyle Campbell, Geoff Letourneau and Jamie Hockin for putting it all together. Also thank you to all those who wore their orange shirt to remember the indigenous children who were taken from their families and put into residential schools where their language and culture was lost and where many children perished.
An interesting article on the Broadview magazine website. https://broadview.org/indigenous-monuments-installations/
